Even as an Irishman, Dupont's Try-saving tackle on Hansen is probably my favourite Try-saver of all time.
You hate to love it but you can’t help it
I don't think there's anyone anywhere who's not French that isn't amazed at DuPont's ability, I wish he was English.
In fairness, Hansen isn't the biggest guy and was backtracking. I mean, it was a good tackle, but nothing more.
@@Thomas-ou2spthere's always one
Beauden's try saver tops it imo
5:02 The number 15 who launches his body through the air to ground the loose ball for a try, just a split second before crashing into a sign that reads COMMITTED TO THE GAME.... I mean that's just beautiful
Poetic
Who is that and which game was it?
@@wrestler-kickboxer2524 not sure bout the team but player is soso matiashvili
I saw this live! Adelaide oval. I heard the impact from halfway up the stands.
1:58 running like a cartoon run lol😂😂
when your legs are faster than your upper body haha :D
I had no idea what to expect from the title - but I loved every bit of that, thank you! Great clips as always, Andrew - much appreciated.
I always thought it was just American slang is that why you didn't know what it meant?
its in the uk alot too@@felixlara2945
@@felixlara2945 It's a grotesque and incoherent illiterate butchery of the English language, that doesn't belong anywhere near our game. It's fine if American football or basketball players want to use it, it's their culture, but this is *rugby* and it doesn't belong.
@@benisrood grotesque incoherent and illiterate are also words I'd use to describe rugby players so loke
@@benisrood nerd
Arundell runs in a way where he doesn't look fast but is bit like will jordan
Very similar with Louis Rees-Zammit
Or maybe Sebastien Chabal

Carlos Spencer choosing not to ground the ball under the posts against the Crusaders and then nailing the touchline conversion anyway was the biggest I'm him moment this sport has ever seen imo.
I'm now just waiting to see if someone will have the guts to do that at test-level. That would be some next level badassery! 🤣😂
He was definitely an underrated player. Shame Merthens was a better kicker, Carlos was a playmaker in the new sense of the word.
@@RatelHBadger Merthens was just more of a test player controlled etc. Both amazing though.
then pulling the fingers at the home crowd!
@@thorbostelmann5344 ahh the infamous Loftus Salute
That referee speed at @2:05 pure astonishing.
1:37 George North carrying the opposition was so funny 🤣🤣🤣
Wasn't funny for North though 😂 almost ended his career here
@@josaialiavaa9836 Falau get his ego bruised so he basically piled his head into the ground. It was really bad tbh.
@pfchim2012 bruised lol North picked him up and folau finished him there's no time for bruised ego , you're thinking too much on this lol 😆
@@josaialiavaa9836 You don't pile drive a players head into the ground. Don't care if he picks you up or not. It is just too dangerous.
@pfchim2012 what's your point? Whatever it is it doesn't matter folau acted within seconds his thoughts are just to get north to the ground , does he know it's gonna hurt north ? No , get over it lol north came off second best and that's that , keep crying
That Arundell try will never get old
How he checks and keeps his pace is special.
The French comms on the Arundel try is just perfection
The absolute best...replayed that tons of times....🤣
Love to see individual moments of brilliance
What insane stamina these men must have
Gay
For real. Especially considering that they are typically built heavier than (for example) football players
Why Andrew, what have we done to deserve such a BOSS compilation. Many thanks indeed mate 👍👍
1:53 Pure speed!!! ...from the referee I mean
Seriously. Even accounting for the players' curved paths, he had to be going at least 90% of their speed
Reckon he's faster than half the team
Great video. As soon as I saw the title I knew the Kaino one would be there. Need a part ii with fofana vs England and Conway vs Toulon
I've missed out on so much rugby so I'm glad I could get a quick refresher.
That try by Van De Mwerve is still one of the best things I have seen
Honestly that was some shocking defence. Said it earlier How does Dombrant get handed off in the end. He had a terrible 6N. Yes VDM finished but that last tackle going high was bizarre
@@tombutcher3021 for any amazing try you need a bit of luck
That Juan Martin Hernandez tackle on tuilagi in 2007 has to be here
the arundel try with the french commentary is epic gets me hyped everytime.
Great video, there’s a Pete Horne try around 2013 v Northampton Saints where he wins it at the death with a mazy run from his own half. Also, anything Niko Matawalu used to do as well was pretty special!
I think the best Northampton moment was when Sione Tonga’uhia scored a breakaway try from like 70 yards
Much love for including the King of Sevens', Serevi🔥👏
That Australian tackle on that guy at 04:20 didn’t look legal from that angle💀
Pretty sure it wasn't. I remember going through the highlights and seeing multiple angles of that tackle. Koroibete got lucky he wasn't called for not wrapping in the tackle. It was a very dangerous tackle at that speed. I think there may have been a tussle that formed after that tackle between the Springboks and Aussies over that tackle actually.
I could be wrong about the tussle but the tackle even if the case was made that the Aussie tried to wrap is kind of due to the tackle being made while the player was in air. It's just a hard call to make if it was legal or not due to the airtime. Cause a tackle on an aerial player is supposed to be illegal but technically you're not supposed to jump over a tackle in some leagues so idk.
That last tackle was epic fair play 👏👏
Stephen Ferris picking up Will Genia is one that could have made that video, great work as always
I love this game. I played it for 20 years. It is the ultimate sport.
Ramiro Moyano's try against Rebels will forever be my favorite moment of argentinian rugby. Still miss Jaguares...
Agree, once they started tipping over established teams, Jaguares and sunwolves were no more... jokes, I know it was covid. But would of liked to see then return to super rugby.
Great compilation mate, just nervously watching rugby vids as I wait for the rugby Championship to kick off, thanx eh.
First time seeing rugby being played and all I can think is that they look funny, but at the same time it's amazing
Phew, for a moment I thought you wouldn't put a Lomu moment in there. Truth be told, you could do an episode of these for Lomu, Cullen and Dupont, their highlights are out of this world.
As an Australian I was just waiting for one of the clips to be of us not getting bodied and I thought I finally had it with the last clip. We got destroyed
Andrew Forde; a man inspired. This is magnifique!
Gethin Jenkins v Namibia RWC2011. Definition of a prop running towards a burger van
2:09 That one test in 2005 vs the Lions was where Daniel Carter became Dan "The Man" Carter
Around 3:00 the number 14 getting a new speed and frightening everybody out of his way was something else!
That Koroibete try saver was some shite if you ask me, zero arms in the attempt to tackle, basically dove at Mapimpi. But then again, I am a Saffa, so it could be bias
Always happy to see Nadolo in a highlights reel. Also the Duhan VDM try has some of the best commentary on it. It's just a commentator who's lost his mind and totally forgotten his job because something special was happening.
That try although great was just shocking defence I mean Dombrant getting handed off was just poor.
@@tombutcher3021 Sometimes we all look up at a storming Polynesian winger and think.. time for a 'Mike Catt' haha!
@@davequiquegg Well that was men against boys.......remember watching that game at school. Massive Gulf in size class speed power. Just when the game was turning pro.
Piutau for Bristol against Northampton last season has to be up there! Ran through about 6 defenders and puts a perfect kick in for his teammate to score!
Thank you for including Cullen
Great vid! I have two suggestions, if you ever fancy making a part 2: Fofana try against England in Twickenham in 2012, and Dusautoir smashing Jerry Collins in the QF of the 2007 RWC.
Could also just make a video of Jerry Collins smashing blokes. 😂
It's shark week! LMAO that was a fantastic tackle on a total beast.
The lions vs Aus one was insane
How have I neveer seen that Henry Arundell try before? That was class.
Great upload!
4:05 I was at that game! Bokke supporter in Aus crowd, took an L... but what a game it was! We got them back the next game tho
4:18 That guys a missile
Arundall doesn't look fast until you see him next to mere mortals
The first step is unreal
It's great that you showed some good defensive moves also. Not all for the scorers.
Outstanding content
As much rugby as I watch maybe one day I'll learn how it's actually played.
Jennings vs Wiese is one of my favorite try saving tackles. Bosh!
I love how the first spectator sounded like a dwarf from Lord of the Rings
Rugby is basically backyard football.. I love it!
That pile driver by the wanker Folau on George North could have been serious.
The last one was the best
4:08 that should have been a penalty try, the tackler doesnt wrap in the tackle
He tried to wrap an arm around but the guy sidestepped into his shoulder and got flattened the TMO did look at it
Hey everyone!! I don’t know the first thing about rugby but omg this just blew my mind!! I would love to learn more about the sport any pointers?
Ese deporte es la onda!!
Que buenos… golpes y jugadas… 🫡
Cullen and Lomu 1 of 1 players different styles but absolutely devastating.
Dupont's defense 🔥🧊
Great video, just needs Ben Smith's tackle on Manu Tuilagi.
Still flabbergasted that the tackle
On Mapimpi wasn’t a red or at least a yellow
The only thing more powerful in rugby that being the only one on the field who can actually run... is being the only one on the field with a brain :D both things are rare though in a game that literally allows tripping and celebrates it as some kind of heroic accomplishment :P
Thanks man❤
Not showing Jonny May try against Ireland in 2020 is Criminal, but anyway great video as always!
I really feel like that's been forgotten for some reason, probably because it was during covid so no crowd and everything :/
these guys are machines
Love this 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is missing Bryan Habana’s coast to coast double vs Australia
0:12 Blimey, I thought Jason Robinson's hold-off side-steps were good.
the fiji one is we are him haha
holy smokes that clip of Dan carter reminded me of Will Jordan
The ones where there stopping trys is more impressive just because you have forward momentum
I used to play left wing in secondary school, very rarely got caught and put a lot of tries under the posts!
Had to make sure my playback speed was on normal for that first try!
0:00-0:40 not having the Benny Hill music playing over this Try is a crime.
I have absolutely no idea why this is less popular than soccer.
Too tough for most
Cullen the most under rated Full back in the history of the game. Him and Blanco are my top two easy.
Never under rated. I wanted to call my son Cullen the wife put a stop to it. He was the best ever. God we were spoilt back then rugby has really become bland with too much control and too much safety rather than to risk.
Don't think anyone underrates him. He's widely regarded as one of the GOATs.
@@tomorrow3582 Can you remember back in the day late 90s when he was kicked the ball no matter where he was on the field he was so dangerous you were on the edge of your seat. He could score from anywhere at any time. a true athlete. He wide arcing runs and balance with pace has never been matched. And there are many many amazing 15s out there.
I don’t have a clue about rugby. Incredible sport!
The best ❤
Awesome video!
That ref at 2.10 was fast. He should be a winger.
4:20 i had to slow that down to understand the awe of what just happened
it was a good tackle if you ignore the fact that it was illegal
@@WietzkeBarnard someone didn’t do their research 😂
Finn Russell’s entire 2nd half in the 2019 Calcutta cup missing
Great vid
Scott Quinell v France should be in here! 🙂🙃🙂🙃
Idk if they do but they should make a rugby game it would be cool
For me the best was Dupont, followed by Barrett and then Underhill.
Rugby shows that dogpiles are still alive and well
first clip: 'what in peter drury'
oh, what a dramatic match
Arundell is the real life mathers....iykyk
As someone who never watched rugby (and has not a single clue about how its played)....
I got a concussion watching this video
Well the world cup is on if you want to tune in on the weekends.
Good running 😅
It’s funny because Me and every other wrestler in my school do rugby
In the Aus / Can match the ref was the second fastest man on the field! The only other person to get close. Wtf!
Andrew forde❤❤
The way the australian player runs is goofy but it works
1:35 Secretly, Israel Folau enjoyed this moment because he loves being picked up by men.
The bloke who held up the player, KUDOS.
The player was probably thinking, you little prick!!!
The two ankle breaking jukes past mid field on the first clip were so sexy
