  • How much does it cost to own a used Maserati Ghibli? In today’s video I go over my monthly expenses on my 2017 Maserati Ghibli that I purchased in early 2021. I’ll go over the car payments, the insurance cost, the expense on gas, and just give a general review of my thoughts on the car and if this would be a good choice for your next car.
    If you have any other questions, leave them in the comments below and I’ll do my best to get back to you. Thanks for watching!

    I own a 2009 Lexus IS 250 and I like it. Solid car. Fully paid and no car payment. Someone owns a Ghibli in my apartment and he’s Parked 3 spaces away from me. I love the sound of the Maserati when he starts it. I thought about getting rid of my Lexus for a used Maserati but at the same time the Lexus has been very reliable for me. You said 10 miles per gallon in this video and now I am leaning more towards keeping the Lexus IS now. Damn that Maserati drinks fuel.

    • @CarsLifeYT
      @CarsLifeYT  Před 2 lety

      Some people get pretty decent mileage out of them, I drive Sport/Manual so I’m not really one of them (7-10mpg, but it’s been as high as 15+ in that mode).
      That being said, they’re definitely thirsty either way (unless in ICE/Normal/Automatic) but that’s to be expected. If the gas prices are problematic for you it’s probably not the best consideration.
      That being said, I absolutely love the car. I’m going to do a year of ownership review soon (maybe next month?) and go over the entire costs for the year.
      Reliability for these cars can be hit or miss too, but so far mine’s been great. Hoping it remains to be.

      @CarsLifeYT  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Honestly, maintenance is not bad at all. Again, depends on what you get though - assuming all is good and the car isn’t a lemon you’ll be fine. Usually it’s no more than $600/year. 40k mile service was about $4k from what I remember, but that was the most expensive one I’ve had done for it.

    If you let it short-shift on D, the low RPMs will get you way better mileage. If this route on the video was done on D instead of manual, you’d see 16 to 18MPG for sure. If you drive it on Sport and Manual you’re clearly prioritizing performance and not economy.
