I know Dave personally. He's worked with countless of my dad's dogs and has been a family friend longer than I've been alive (26 years). Can't wait to watch this in my free time and share with my brother (Dave has worked with his setter a lot in the past year).

There are other methods to teach whoa such as with positive reinforcement. In this video, the trainer said "he does not like it." No wonder..... at 4 minutes & 18 seconds into the video.
On my third dog love how gentle they are but man they are a tough breed to keep from runing I have had no luck with the breed I find them like dumb blonds beautiful but stupid

Hip = turn
Whup=Whoa
