    I think NLR will inspire a raft of similar designs, but cheaper. It's a very clever design, fills a niche.
    Its pricey, for sure, but NLR products are well-made and designed. I can see a lot of sales coming for this mini-rig. Good on you, NLR.

    I really like this, i think the seat is great vs a full seat. I think it is a better seat for vr since the lower back wont interfere with the vr cable like a standard seat does. I dont think the price is right though. I think 400 is more reasonable (but i am cheap) thank you for the video. Peace✌

    As a Kart Racer... I find that sim program to be junk, unless there is some way to see the front tires while driving. The rig setup looks OK, but you definately need a wide 2 pedal setup and the correct shifter lever & hand clutch, for a SIM shifter kart.

    I think this is pretty cool, and I bet there's a lot of kids that are going to be getting one for Christmas. This is cool, i don't care what anybody says. And it's NLR, so you know it's gonna be built like an Abrams tank.

    Great Video - I was really impressed with your video. As an adult, I just started Kart racing last year (KA 100 TaG). I am looking for options to train, which is why I was thinking about a Kart Sim. My problem is that I don't know where to start. I am assuming that PC would be the better set up, but I could be wrong. So if you were starting out and you have a budget of $2000- $2500 USD. What would you recommend. The system would be mainly Kart, but down the road would be open to other racing sims? Also which Kart Sim would you recommend. Thanks in advance.

    Looks like the is more suited to the smaller dd wheel bases. Something like clubsport v2.5 would get in the way. Am I wrong?

    • @TheSimpit

      To me it looks like a big wheelbase like that would leave no room for your knees.

    • @ivana6141
      @ivana6141 Před 8 měsíci

      @@alecmillea4539 I thought the same but you could probably raise the base higher and angle it down rather than set at a kart angle.

    I don’t see go-kart. I see ‘GT like’ seating position closer to the ground so could slide under a desk or tuck away more easily than some of the taller rigs. I’d be tempted to update from my NLR 2.0 for that reason alone

    • @MrKlawUK
      @MrKlawUK Před 8 měsíci

      if you have a DD wheel mounted and in a more GT style position - roughly how far from the floor is the top rim of the wheel?

  • @catnipherb

    Can be good for Japanese customers. As their tables are shorter than English/American tables. If I was using this rig, I'll still need a yoga block to rest my mouse on top. I'm too lazy to full extend my arm and lean my body sideways to reach it!

  • @Traumglanz
    @Traumglanz Před 8 měsíci

    I think next year my little one will be tall enough for this rig. And another one till she is big enough for a real cart. Currently she loves sim racing so if her interest will still be there next year … no brainer to buy. Nice that daddy fits in for some cart rounds too, even when I am pretty average size and thus way to big for the GT position. For kids? Both positions should would perfectly fine.
    Really great rig, after bothering next level racing about adjustability for kids over and over again, finally a cockpit that works, and not only does it work for kids, but as well for daddy. The only small disadvantage is that it will not give me a good GT position. But I think with a small DIY adjustments you can fix that too even when I got that covered already anyway.

    • @TheSimpit
      @TheSimpit  Před 8 měsíci

      It's a great rig to get the young ones into simracing. With a little modding, it should be good for GT position.

    does the HF8 fit in that seat?

    • @TheSimpit
      @TheSimpit  Před 8 měsíci +1

      The seat is a little short to get the whole HF8 on there since upper art of the back is exposed.

      @Brac_reps Před 7 měsíci

      A F1 car seating position is more flat on your back, with knees at shoulder level. This rig is a decent Sprint Kart seating position.
