Yes this series was already posted on Manfrotto’s channel but CZcams really hurt their momentum so figured it can’t hurt to rerelease them here to maybe help both the video and my own channel as well.
I love how you can take whatever is in your bag and get every look you want with just a small amount of gear and the large amount of knowledge you have.
What a terrific video and concept Seth Miranda! You are right, clients like when in one sitting they get options and sometimes a clean version of whatever the main idea was ends up being the shot. All the Gear you used and showed us in this video is spot on, thank you for all the knowledge you share with all of us and much health and success to you!
So darn cool Seth! You know when someone is at the top of their game when everything they do appears silky smooth and effortless. You are one smart cookie dude! Cheers
What you present here is absolutely brilliant. Would you use black for a black background? How to control the black, putting it on a shadowed area an the model with the sun as key?
Black backgrounds are tough when you’re using any sort of exposure for already existing light becuase you’re trying to zero that black to no exposure to be deep black so if you’re recording any ambient light odds are somethings reflecting onto that black and you’ll need a light source for your subject to over power that. Is it possible sure just not in all situations and it’ll take some more work
Sorry these didn't do well on the other channel. They're great stuff. Just out of curiosity, how hard did your speedlights have to work in that environment? When I try stuff like this my lights seem to work really hard.
If you’re not trying to overpower the existing light then they don’t have to work that hard. It’s only when you’re trying to really crunch down and eliminate ambient light or using huge modifiers or long distance to subject that you’d run into an issue

Very cool. A Soho reflector is more versatile than a Brooklyn reflector.

@@LastXwitness right on, thank you!
Can’t do that with a Brooklyn reflector! Or can you? 😂
I mean there’s extra large pizzas that need boxes…. And if it’s the foam core version you def can ! Just doesn’t pack down
@@LastXwitness truth!
I wanna be Seth when I grow up…
I wouldn’t wish that on anyone
