Released on December 21, 2009 by EA Mobile and developed by IronMonkey Studios. The game is available on iOS (shown here on iPad Mini 2 w/iOS 7.1.1), as well as BlackBerry and Java-based flip phones from the early- to mid-aughts.
Sadly, the game is no longer available for sale in the App Store due to iOS incompatibility issues. Players who did purchase the game can only run the game on iOS 7.1.2 or below. See EA's notice here: answers.ea.com/t5/Other-EA-Ga...

when I was a kid my dad had this game on his ipod and I played this game countless times. it was my entire childhood. that ipod was stolen back in 2016 with countless other possessions. I still think about it up to this day

I think it's hilarious that they have you beat up a bunch of characters that are normally not that bad (like Sideshow Mel and Bumblebee Man), but they leave out actually villainous characters like Sideshow Bob, Snake, Fat Tony, etc.
I hadn't thought about it, but that's a good point. I wonder if they weren't permitted to use voice clips from those actors because they're guest stars (well for Sideshow Bob and Fat Tony).

This is a _very_ acceptable sequel to the arcade game! It has a nonsensical plot, it has Homer beating up hired goons, it has throwbacks to the original game (such as the power-ups and the last couple bosses), and it plays pretty darn smooth! If this was still available in my region, I'd definitely buy it!

Calling it "The Simpsons Arcade" was rather naughty of them imo. It implies that this is going to be the exact same game as the 91 konami arcade one (which it isn't).
Still, looks pretty cool regardless.
I think that was the point. It got my attention when I was younger because I thought it would be the original. It's good for what it is. Like a spiritual sequel of sorts.
Its pretty impressive to see how close the java version was to this one.

I've been looking for this game for years. Me and my brother used to play it on my dad's blackberry and whenever I look it up it always came up with new Simpsons games.

What a soulless knockoff of the real arcade game. Where are all the background characters? Where's the catchy music? The animations look like this game was made in Flash.
Yeah it looks like the original art was designed for Java phones (pixel art), then they used a tool like Flash to draw over those assets, so it gives this game's art a stiff feeling, not as fluid or cartoony as the 1990 arcade game

This playthrough of The Simpsons Arcade Mobile is outstanding. I wish I could play that game myself, but it seems rather hard to do since it’s no longer in the App Store.
The pixel version for Blackberry and Java phones is easier to access, but yeah it doesn't look as good as this.
I remember playing this on my iPod Touch. Came so close to giving up on it, but I pushed through, and I'm glad I got to beat it a couple of times before it got delisted.

This seems like a watered down version of the early 1990's arcade game with pretty poor quality sound, but it sure beats all the early computer ports from the early-mid 1990's.

I remember doing this but it was with Mr Burns boss fight, the entire time i realized Mr burns didn’t have to hit the battery the entire time, I could’ve just hit it and knocked it towards him.

I see you have the old version of Angry Birds Free on here. Problem is, it is the inferior post-2014 version that removes some level, confusingly adds levels from the full version and places an add-wall to unlock the rest of the first four chapters. 1.4.1 and 1.5.0 are the essential versions for the original experience of these "lost" maps
I think I have that other version of Angry Birds as well! This iPad is my archive machine for all the old games that aren't compatible on newer iOS devices.

Wish this game would come back. I have it in my purchased list including an iPad on older software. But when I look on the iPad, note it’s on my iCloud account, I don’t see the game. Whilst when looking on my phone it’s there. Either way, I can’t play it.

@@Lechugas I dont really know since i dont have a proper iPhone, iPad Or iPod Touch. Try searching on YT a tutorial since i saw one that you can install ipas without a pc or jaibreaking.
I may get an iPod Touch 4 to play many games like Rayman 2, Driver, CBNNK3D, etc.
If i get one i would do a tutorial on my second channel of how to install ipa games.

How’d you get this game to work? I still have the file on my laptop but I can no longer play it on my iPhone thanks to all those stupid updates over the years...
Unfortunately, if you want to run it on a native Apple device you need to have a compatible device with iOS 7.1.2 or below. I keep an older iPad just to make sure I can still play these old games.

The java version for flip phones is easy to find and play in a emulator, but this iOS version only runs on original hardware (as far as I know).
