  • I received this from Nitecore for review. This is a multi LED headlamp witha d ecent weatehrproof rating of ip66 which is more than adequate for a headlamp. it is light and easy to use and provides ample enough lighting for a decent duration.

In the 170 lumens mode, is it capable of staying on for the 3 hours indicated in the manual or does it drop to 60 lumens shortly so as not to overheat? I need 170 lumens for at least 1 hour.... I have the Nitecore H11 and it lowers the intensity shortly after turning on. thank you

Fossil, what was comfort level? Also, charge time, on say a battery bank? Like 25% to 100% ? Standard, not QC?
    Great review!!!!

I like the shock cord beter as i sweat alot and it doesnt feel as bad. Depends on a battery bank current transfer say .270mah vs a bank that can do 100mah. Usually about an hour or so. Sometimes more depending on how far the battery is gone.

Thanks tao. The capacity of the internal li-ion battery is around 500mah. So the charging rate of around .300mah is quite alot. If its charged in a 50-70f temperature environment it could be as little as an hour or less.

I picked up the Nitecore NU43 which is crazy bright but this is lighter with alot less lumens.

It may be the settings im shooting at with my gh6. Also wavelengths of different colours can appear brighter. My eyes react well with tungsten or warmer colour lights with rosy tints. For reference I am shooting at f2.8 with an Iso of 10,000 and a shutter speed at 1/48th speed with a frame rate of 24.00 with a white balance of 5000k. I lock in the settings so nothing changes and the light doesnt force the iso to change or aperture etc..

The nu43 looks like a power house too. How do you like it so far?

@@TheFossilChannel Super power, very nice when setting up a big tent. Also great for video. :) I like the USB charge with a battery inside where most do not like that. I have been upgrading all my gear to not carry extra batters. My cameras are the only thing I have with extra batteries now. Where everything else just plug the USB into a batery pack when I goto to bed.

The benefit of a system is that is very streamlined and fast charging.
