I took chem this year and I'll admit that everytime there was a lab i wanted something to explode.

I can’t decide who I love more in this role, Sam Rockwell or Adam Driver.
I loved both but Sam did better, his progress from happy teacher, confused, unmotivated and freaking angry teacher was better 😂

Yeah I know my teachers do get annoyed by me because I’m to chatty.
If it is, then they shouldn't be teaching. This is a comedy skit and the reactions are exaggerated.
This is what I felt like as a student everyday. I picked stuff up fast but my classes only went as fast as the lowest common denominator so I'd get bored and act up. I ended up as one of those "tests well but is a disruption in class kids"

@@TheNefastor actually most live shows operate on a two/three second delay from real time for that very reason, so the censor can catch and cut if something happens like this. Either the censor wasn’t fast enough or snl wasn’t using one that night. Either way no need to be rude lmao

Oh to live in the us, I have to watch it a week later on tv, well 6days, time difference. I wondered wtf happened there for a sec cause I didn't hear anything & just seeing his hand go to his mouth I thought it was him biting his fist in anger, rewind & the crowd made sure that was not correct. I just wonder why he said it, cause if it's scoured & he'd learnt his lines, it wasn't a live, as in improv, bit or something of that ilk.
@@joellezima3506 that may be true but it's not the reason live tv is delayed, you do realise as quick.as it is, the info still has to travel millions of miles from one point to another, & usually not directly (satelite or whatever other format). I used to live fairly close & a little elevated from a stadium as a kid, when I would watch a match on tv, I could often hear the cheers with my windows open, if it was a big game (large crowd), & if the wind wasnt against me, escape the sides of the roof when the team scored or whatever noise from what had happened a second or 2 before I saw it on tv. Note think. How slow sound travels, even with conditions right compared to light. So that was probably 5-10 years before this, but it's still strands, even.with fibre optic cables, it's not completely instant live

Here's a fun fact:
Mr. Rockwell actually says "You can't be this FUCKING stupid" by mistake at 2:50 (hence the audience laughter) but it's edited out with an "extra-slap-on-the-table-sound" since network TV still doesn't allow F-bombs on prime time TV slots.

Whoever wrote this sketch has definitely taught science to kids, because this is *exactly* what it is like. Every word of this is so accurate it hurts.

You know what the scary part of this skit is- its 99% correct. This is daily reality for some teachers.

I've been teaching high school biology for 29 years and I have more students like those two than I want to admit!
But this kind of experiment is more of chemistry. There's no living things being involved in the experiment.
@@ethanpease5936 The delivery of and student understanding of the scientific process is what Jim is talking about. People that teach any science subject understand this. I have taught Chemistry and Biology. Socratic inquiry and guided questioning are what we do. The lack of reflection, metacognitive processes, and seemingly random responses with no thought are ubiquitous in the science classroom.

Reyna Gray, I'm sorry, I've become a bit cynical after nearly 30 years of teaching. There were great rewards, great tragedy and it was an experience I'd never trade away for anything. It's a free country, everyone should be allowed to breed as much as they want, it was wrong of me to suggest otherwise. Your right, it doesn't work that way and I know that as well as you.
But seriously, there were some really dumbass kids, usually with some dumbass parents. And it maybe should have been gently suggested to them that breeding wasn't such a good idea.

This is quite possibly Cecily's best skit, and that's saying a lot because she is phenomenal at improv. But she just outdid herself in this one
I teach science to preschoolers. The part with them grabbing and touching everything is something I felt in my soul.
