#SNL #JasonSudeikis #BrandiCarlile #SNL47 - Komedie
I'm not even mad they keep redoing this sketch, because it confirms the lore that the teacher quits after one day dealing with these kids.
Yeah, that sounds about right. Sam Rockwell, Adam Driver, and now Jason Sudeikis.
Personally is one of my favorite SNL sketches. Keep em coming
The stuff the "kids" come up with is priceless. I always look forward to these.

@@canaisyoung3601 Plus the one with Jesse Eisenberg / Bill Hader
I mean, they just did "What up with that" for literally like the 9th time so I see nothing wrong with this for a third.
Jason going after the parents really made this version of the science sketch shine
I don't think I've ever known a teacher that didn't want to unload on some parents like that.
Seeing the cast break was amazing. I wonder if that was planned or if Jason just messed up lol
The best part is that Melissa accidentally said "Loanie" instead of "Loni" and everything after that was just Sudeikis being a fucking pro and running with it. TRUE masterclass sketch actor.
@@CJ-gy8ie and him then mispronouncing Lisa's name 🤣
@@Highspirekid13Jason didn’t mess up. Melissa did.
Jason just has that older SNL energy where he fully becomes the character he's playing and just continues trying to get other actors to break. He'll always deserve more credit for his time on SNL
You say "deserve more credit" as if he wasn't heavily beloved and adored and well after leaving
@@DannyBPlays nope I say deserves more credit because I know he got credit but I think he deserves more 👍
@@cjfritz3951 "always deserves more" means he will never have what he deserves which you have no way of knowing.
Agreed, this had the energy of the 80s or 90s. Amazing to see it again!
They just break because he's so committed to the character, I don't think he does it to get them to break because I think he's a good improv artist that really doesn't want to break the actors although it's fun to see that when it happens organically but I don't think he's trying for that
What's my luck in an interview when he's 80 years old he's going to come out inside I was always trying to get him to crack them up you know I was playing the character Angle now I knew that would get him.
Sudeikis not only catching the Lonnie/Lonie bit and turning it into comedy gold but then ALSO mispronouncing Lisa's name as Liza was such quick thinking and improv genius.
Why in the world would you think that was improv?
@@m1l1t1am1keMelissa talked about it after the show.
@@m1l1t1am1ke I mean, they were clearly breaking...Melissa seems to have a genuine reaction to what Sudeikis is saying.

This is why Sudeikis is a fucking genius. He totally turned Melissa’s accidental mispronunciation and turned it into comedy gold.

As a retired teacher, this skit is more truth than satire.
Heck, I used to work with elementary schoolers after the school day for just an HOUR and I felt like this 😂😂😂
I went back to school for my social studies license and this is my second year teaching (6th grade). SO ACCURATE.
As a current teacher this is sadly to close to reality. 😬
Wow this is one depressing thread. Future looks bleak for America
I don't think this would be typical of Chinese school kids. Too bad for us.
The way he's proud of his periodic table joke is so underrated...😂😂😂
not to a lot of us. I appreciated it
That was such a peak dad joke moment
I know. It’s just the perfect start to the FUNNIEST skit I’ve seen in a long while
He is so committed to the character he's not reacting to the live audience when they laugh at the joke, he's laughing at himself or coming up with a joke he waits till the last dies live, because his character believes he's on television. That's the genius of sudeikis
I felt like it was pretty elemental to be honest.

When Melissa mispronounced “Loni” and Jason picked up on it with a HILARIOUS joke, it broke me.
Wow, smooth enough that I thought it was scripted.
*Edit:* Okay, on second viewing, I see that everyone but Jason and Kyle were struggling to hold character from that point on. 😄

This was absolute gold!!
@@crnkmnky Kyle had a visible reaction to “Lonie,” though. He looks confused for a second then tries VERY hard not to break after that lol.
Why is no one talking about how good Mikey is at playing an awkward boy? The way he opens his eyes wide, never blinks, smacks his lips together and fidgets with his hands kills me every time. Science Room is the best skit.
His facial expressions are on point and hilarious. You can call me Mikey too.
I think Cecily is doing an even funnier job fidgeting and contorting her face like a nervous young girl! Mikey does a fantastic job in his child role as well.
So good
And the way he nods when she says the guy likes it...
Mikey is an underrated treasure
The host was in EVERY sketch.... That's how good he is...
Jason is a legend at SNL!
Well, he was a cast member for almost a decade so he had the chops for sure, not to mention he was originally hired at SNL as a writer.
The host is almost always in every sketch in some capacity. Every now and then they'll have a host that's not in one or two sketches, which is strange tbh
Don't get me started. One of my first thoughts when Biden was elected was "aww, but Jason Sudekis isn't on SNL!"
It's almost like he's done this before...
Cecily and Mikey make the best kids. They are just hilarious.
those nervous nods are spot on!
No I'm pretty certaintheir kids would be terrible
.................
"Sorry- sorry-"
"You don't have to apologize. Just don't do it anymore. You don't have to apologize if you don't do it."
I love this version of the sketch because Sudeikis really captures the essence of a teacher who enjoys their work but is also just barely hanging on by a thread.
i love this showing even the seemingly endlessly kind teacher getting fed up
He's Mr.Wizard, man.
I caught myself saying this to my 3 year old yesterday 😅😊
Was there an alt?
@@JeanRodo Adam Driver and Sam Rockwell did versions of this sketch when they hosted also. While I loved Driver's performance (he channels his rage really well) think Sudeikis's was the best.

Bro, Mikey NEVER breaks but both him and Cecily did at the “Loni” rant. Oh my god Jason Sudekis is the master!
Apparently Melissa mispronouncing “Loni” was a mistake but Jason picked up on it and ran with it. Absolutely brilliant!
Thats how you get the big bucks
Maybe Oliva will come back if he's just funny enough...
He breaks big time in the Will Ferrell Cast List sketch, but then so do most of them, one of my favourites.
And then he called Lisa (the mom) "Lie Sa" just to bring it home..
@@mer9903 Oh, that explains why Melissa was breaking as she exited. She rarely does. :)
How did they nail 'teacher hair' so well? Every math and science teacher i had looked like this.
They either have a good hair styling department or they have better wigs than most beauty supply stores.
Cause they get home after trying to teach kids like this he goes straight to the liquor cabinet at home, passes out and goes back to work in the same clothes🤣

As a public school science teacher, this could not be any more accurate.
Unfortunately for my parents, I was the opposite. Correcting them all the time. I even educated a teacher once on the difference between lone and alone, in a sentence that teacher said I was using wrong. I went to an English teacher and was proven not wrong.
@@davidalden909, I did the same with a history teacher about Paul Revere, pointing out he was captured by the British at one point and asking why he didn’t talk about William Dawes and Dr Samuel Prescott? I was sent to the Vice Principal’s office. Fortunately he was also a history teacher and told my teacher that it was sad when a student knows more than the teacher.
If it wasn't a skit for fun, It's actually the teacher yelling and being verbally abusive. To prove kids are dumb, easy job.

As an American teacher, I can honestly say this more a documentary than a comedy bit.
I wonder what kind of school is being parodied here though. Where I live, a teacher who behaved so "offensively" towards children in private school would be sacked within seconds by a Parents Board or something lol.
