14 years of commitment can teach you a lot of things. When I began learning and practicing photography in 2010, I felt like I found my instrument to create in this world. The camera felt like an extension of my will. I went through so many phases in my creativity. As I look back on a lot of the archives, I can remember when I learned something new that helped advance my growth as a photographer.
Today, I have an incredibly different approach to photography, one that is incredibly more philosophical than technical. However, the biggest lesson I learned was that the quality in my art is directly correlated with the honesty and maturity of my own person.

Hands down one of the best videos about photography you will find on YT. You've touched on so many vital points about growing as an artist and a human being. It really is all about the process and learning to find your voice through experimentation. I'm really enjoying your journey as a photographer and really digging your YT vids. Keep up the amazing work Chris. 🔥

Thank you for inspiring me through your videos. As someone that experienced creative burnout in photography, I find these kind of videos really helpful and now I’m starting to create again my photography portfolio 😊 Congrats also to 100k subs!

I've only recently started really pursuing "street" style photos more because I live in a small city and I am just starting to post things to instagram because I realized if I want to get my work recognized it might be important to share it somewhere. I have a lot of self doubt about posting a lot of my work because I just feel like most of it is shit and not even worth posting, but seeing that you feel like you've only just made that huge leap in your work after 14 years gives me motivation to keep going! Loving the videos, super inspiring!

Loved this self reflection! I've recently been doing a lot of that in my own work recently. One thing that's had me dive deeper into that is a book called 'The Artist's Way' I highly recommend checking it out if self discovery especially in regards to your art is of interest to you! I can also relate to that switch flip moment you talked about upon moving to NY, as I recently stayed in Chicago for a month. Amazing work.

Man, 14 years ago, you started photography with 2?? Seriously, even though I have said this before but this might be my favourite video. 100% relatable for every photographer or artist. So Excited to see where this takes you. I am pretty sure that 14 years from now you will be considered one of the greats when it comes to b&w street photography and this youtube comment will be worth millions.

Personally, i feel like i have been a little going backwards in my photography, ever since this winter i feel like i havent been able to get as close as i used to, it might take me a bit to grow back into it. I guess sometimes reviewing the past work ive done helps me rethink about what i want to do
