    I wait like a child at Christmas for every video you put up. I wish you would be able to upload a weekly video and put me out of my misery of waiting, checking and longing to see your work. It's my meditation. Also, while waiting I go back and watch some of my favorite projects and see you have re-edited and added English subtitles. Awesome job and a much cleaner look.

Bravo. 🙏Un admirateur de France 🇫🇷

    I find it so interesting that by and large, traditional Japanese gardens were native. In the u.s. we create so called Japanese garden using the native plants from Japan while ignoring our own native plants which is counter to the spirit of Japanese gardens. The mind is crazy.

      We are in Australia and the same goes here, native trees. It’s the principles of this ancient genre that’s so intriguing. Difficulty in achieving simplicity. 🤯♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

    Native plants are already best suited for the environment they grow in, and will therefore thrive where a non-native plant may not. There is also no risk of the native plants escaping the garden and becoming invasive in the surrounding areas. Aesthetically speaking, native plants will make the garden look more natural and less contrived. When flora outside the garden is visible from within the garden, native plants in the garden provide for some continuity to the outside world making the garden feel less isolated and confining, and in some cases appear larger than it actually is.
    Many of the advantages of using native plants also apply to the stones and soil chosen for use in the garden--continuity, a more natural appearance and compatibility with native plants are all enhanced by using native stones and soil. Some plants are very specific to certain soil and rock types, so trying to use as many materials as possible that are sourced locally helps to ensure compatibility, from the trees used to the mosses and ground covers planted in the garden (especially moss!). I like to think of them all as good friends that will be much happier when they remain together. Happy, healthy plants are always more pleasing to the eye than struggling, out-of-place plants. Using native plants always makes this easier to achieve in the garden.

    I was so happy to watch part 2. I expect we will see part 3 to see the big reveal. I always wonder....are there guidelines as to where to place rocks and/or trees, or does each designer have a preference? I love seeing it all come together. Thank you.

    Here in Texas we try to keep trees (and their root system) away from the building. How are these maintained? Yearly trimming? Or are they small by nature? Love your channel…

    • @jackson615
      @jackson615 Před 2 měsíci

      I looked it up cause that concerned me as well. From my findings, it looks like they may have them wrapped in burlap which is in fact biodegradable. I saw that and it was an instant face palm but I'm comforted now, knowing that they wont kill the trees. Learning something new every day!

  • @jackson615
    @jackson615 Před 2 měsíci

    Is the wrapping around the base of trees (root ball) biodegradable? Why leave this on ~ this will kill the tree!?
