What you all got to appreciate is how nice of a guy Jimmy is. How good of a friend he is. He is a standup guy
1. He lets Jules hide a car with a corpse inside his garage
2. He let them inside his house and offered them Coffee even though they are both drenched in blood and brains
3. He lets them raid his closet and let them take blankets which they got as wedding gifts
4. He is courteous at all times to Mr. Winston Wolf, even fixes him a cup of coffee
5. On top of it, he is more worried about being divorced than getting his ass in jail
also said the n slur like three times yikes
@@laurynking7733 Yes to that corpse in the car, but not to Jules.
@@Ironheart73 still very disrespectful to use the hard R in the presence of a black person, and in general.
@@lorenzochepps3854 Well if it makes you feel better, Jules also uses the N word a lot
Jimmy was his old partner, which probably made him a former hitman. Just saying.
The fact that Vincent is being an asshole to everyone after HE caused the entire situation is crazy 😂
So true ! That's why I was so happy to see Butch give him what he deserved in the bathroom of his apartment !
So pretty please with sugar on top, clean the F’n car. 🎉
I know Winston Wolf didn’t say please, but he is incredibly polite. He asked if he could come in, he made sure it was ok if he could smoke, and he reimbursed for the linen. The Wolf is a highly polite person, love his manners and character
No words wasted with him.
a 2nd generation Kingsman
A Boss
And as he said, time is a factor. He doesn't have to say please because he's the one helping THEM. THEY'RE the ones who should say please and thank you.
he is a man of value
One of the greatest lines ever “so pretty please with sugar on top, clean the fuckin car”
This scene has a gratuitous amount of the best lines ever in cinema as it were.
...I also love the line, "Now I drive real fuckin fast so keep up". Haha!
Also, "Well, lets not start sucking each others dicks quite yet."
@@bnashiningstar7633 " What about you, Lash LaRue ? can you keep your spurs from jingling & jangling ? ". He obviously was aware that Vincent had screwed up even without Jules narcing on him. This probably wasn't the 1st time, either.
@@DanielAppleton-lr9eq ...not sure why you replied to me but hopefully it was all in good fun, love this movie and all the quotes!!
Man that coffee must REALLY be some serious gourmet shit if the Wolf liked it
He looks like a man who’s had nothing but the best in life. Clothes, food, women, and for damn sure coffee. So him being in a house he’s never been in, with guys he never met, doing his job cleaning up a murder, acknowledging how good the coffee is. Is just brilliant..
Must be among the best coffee that the Wolf has ever had for a guy like him to compliment Jimmy on it.
Probably just average coffee, yet, the scene fits perfectly as it gets Jimmy in a lighter mood, docile and willing to cooperate in a calm way.
A great cup of coffee is much appreciated by us coffee heads 😋 ☕️
I mean he was having it with lots of cream and lots of sugar so I don’t really take him for a big coffee snob.
I love the way he takes a second to appreciate the coffee.
tbf, it's not Jimmy's fault that one of these bozos decided to blow one Marvin's brain out. Secondly, damn good coffee should always be appreciated
It always makes me laugh cause I feel Jules wasn't exaggerating when he said it was serious gourmet shit because of the Wolfs reaction lol
@@RockSmithStudio I love the way that the first part of your comment has nothing to do with the original comment lol
The way Jimmy smiles when Winston compliments the ☕️ 😁
@@Udai_taximI think they are giving an explanation as to why Winston was so friendly and polite to Jimmy.
Jimmy is within his right to throw them out on their asses, so it’s best to stay on his good side and make sure he’s calm through the process.
"If I get my car back any different than I gave it, Monster Joe's gonna be disposing of two bodies." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣
In itty - bitty pieces.....
I love the part right before that.
"Now, I drive real fucking fast, so keep up."
The fact that he has zero fucks to give about changing how he drives with a dead body in the trunk is what is great to me. He flew up at 100mph in that NSX.
After all these years, I just noticed The Wolf used a handkerchief while holding the phone receiver to hide his fingerprints. What amazing attention to detail!
Let’s hope he washed the cup!
let's hope he cleaned doorbell button, mosquito screen door knob, corner of the kitchen top, coffee mug, garden hose trigger too...
@@nitehawk4067 Burn the house down!
@@nitehawk4067 Don't forget the trunk door or the steering wheel of the car; though since it was later crushed that might be a moot point.
he left plenty fingerprints in jimmies place tho

I love the subtle detail that the Wolf knows to not let Jules drive, since they’re more likely to be pulled over by an LA cop.
@John Reb do you mean red as in covered in Martin’s blood or red as in native american?
20 years ago when I first saw it I thought I’d rather have Jules drive the car and it didn’t occur to me until I saw it again that he was having the white guy drive the car.
@John Reb that's called racial profiling
@John Reb no, that's not the same thing
@John Reb Defending racial profiling, unprompted, to prove you and it are not racist in the slightest 😎
"You've got a corpse in the car, minus a head, in the garage. Take me to it!" Wow...crazy as that line was, it cut to the chase. Winston Wolf owns the whole scene. He assesses the situation, articulates a plan, calms Jimmy down and gets him away from the crime scene by requesting a cup of coffee, deals with Vincent's pathetic power play, then compensates Jimmy accordingly. As he says later, "It's as if it never happened." Masterful.
But when they show the dead body, the head was intact.
@@creepyzeek1 😂😂😭😭...."minus a head" was a figure of speech is all. Now the blast to the back explains the skull and matter pieces. I could imagine a Desert Eagle at that close would do that
Masterful writing, and acting..
@@creepyzeek1 yes me thinks the same. But we havent seen the head's back. Probably open like a flower.
Exactly, well said. Plus you sense that if he needed to he would've checked Vincent, had Vincent started to get crazy. You know The Wolf has a pistol in his coat. That's just how I imagined.
I love that of all the cars The Wolf could drive, they chose to give him an NSX. Understated but highly capable, no nonsense and endlessly reliable - it perfectly surmises his character.
You can imagine he bought that car because it’s exactly what he wanted from a vehicle.
And that he effortlessly negotiated $10,000 off the list price.
Acura paid big bucks to have the car in the movie

I've always found it kinda wholesome that Jimmy was worried Bonnie would leave him not because of the financial strain a divorce can have but because he actually loves her and doesn't want her to leave. He was even completely pissed off at two hitmen (one with an apparent short fuse) for risking his marriage. He wasn't even thinking about prison for helping to cover up a murder, just fretting about losing his wife. Weirdly wholesome moment.
The whole scene involving The Wolf has a different sort of feel to it and almost a calming sensation after so much chaos. He comes in and puts everything right back in order.
That's saying a lot too, considering that Quentin Tarantino, as skilled of a director and storyteller as he is, was not the right person for this role.
In this case, I'd say it's manslaughter, not murder. Murder requires pre-meditated thought.
Tell me you’re a filthy redditor without telling me
Didn't Jules say that Jimmie was his old partner? Wouldn't that make him a former hitman? That might explain why he was otherwise pretty calm about this whole thing.
“Haha they’re your clothes muthafucka...” always gets me going
Winston Wolf is the protagonist of a whole franchise of movies we never got to see.
I would have loved a Winston Wolf tv show.
Wolf takes big risk to drive the tainted car,. 100%respect
yeah but risk = reward coz how many thousands did marcellus pay him to do this job?
Drive junky 74 Nova wearing a toxedo with dork friend in plain day, trunk full of body parts ..yes it is.
Better him than Jules. Cops would most likely pull him over if he drove. But nothing is more risky than driving really fast in a tainted car. That’s just asking to get caught.
@@babkeebabkus8177 This is easily a 6 figure job if you can dispose of a murder in less than an hour.
given his driving I reckon he has a few local cops on his side
His little, "Hmmm" referring to Jimmy's coffee always cracks me up.
Me too ! Luv that scene !
4:20 Mr Wolf holds the phone handset through handkerchief. what a calculated man who have attention to every detail.
Wow. U nailed that.
I wish I was like Mr. Wolf sometimes, he’s just got this air that says “I’m calm but you WILL do what I say when I say.”

I love how he’s wearing a tuxedo at 8:45am.
Just because he works for a felon doesn't mean he's not a gentleman.
I have always wondered about that. When he gets the phone call, he seems to be at some type of party. But it's so early in the morning. That must have been one heck of a party !
@@jubalcalif9100 He has a tuxedo under that tuxedo.
@@jubalcalif9100 I can’t quite figure it out as well. Either he’s been partying ALL NIGHT LONG and is still in his tux from the night before, or he’s in a fresh outfit after waking at (let’s say) 7:00am. If the later, why the tux so early in the day? If the former, I think QT did a poor job reflecting his all-nighter in the film. Sadly, looks like we may never know.
I like how Wolf takes a moment to notice how good the coffee is.

Some massively underappreciated moments from this scene alone:
When Wolf says "lotsa cream, lotsa sugar", Jules immediately shows frustration at Jimmie given he yelled at him earlier about how gourmet coffee should be drunk.
When Wolf is rolling money in his hand in the bedroom, the sound of it syncs perfectly with the next shot of Vincent spraying in the car.
When Jules and Vincent are arguing in the car, it is only Vincent's side of the frame is clean of blood.
Tarantino used to visit Santa Cruz (on Vincent's t-shirt) a lot when his ex-girlfriend was a student at a university in that area.
I just LOVE the minor details in this film and you can tell Tarantino is a pure artist at showing them!
It's kind of sad that they couldn't use what the script call for Jules to wear. In the script, Vincent wears the UCSC banana slug t-shirts and Jules wear one that said "I'm with Stupid". That may be too much on the nose.
He didn’t know Jimmy had that serious gourmet shit.
@@stellarwind1946 That IS some tasty coffee!
I am glad I read this. Good eye!
Another detail is the shirt Jimmie is wearing; it's the logo for Orbit magazine, who did the first interview with him after becoming a filmmaker. He wore the shirt in the movie as a thank you.
The Wolf, with his sharp suits, razor-sharp wit, and unflappable demeanor, is a master class in crisis management. Reliability is one of the most important characteristics any professional can have. The Wolf understands this: he states what he’ll do, when he’ll do it by, and then he delivers. He doesn’t over-promise or get cocky-instead, he collects the facts and then confidently states what’s doable.
When faced with a complex task under a stressful deadline, it can be tempting to just dive in and sort things out as you go. More often than not, this ends up resulting in less efficiency and ultimately more work. It’s important to always assess the situation by identifying stakeholders, defining roles, objectives, and any other information that will help you get a clear picture of what’s ahead. When you do this, you can make decisions that consider the problem holistically.
The Wolf is quick to divvy up tasks after identifying the stakeholders, gaining a clear understanding of the goal, and accessing the situation in the car. He understands that the goal can’t be met if he attempts to do it himself - he must involve his team: Vincent, Jules, and Jimmie.
When The Wolf tells Vincent and Jules to clean the car, he gives them very specific instructions. The first priority is to put the body in the trunk. The next priority is to clean the car, but prioritize the cleaning of “the really messy parts”. The last step is to cover the upholstery in blankets provided by Jimmie, the gracious host.
When The Wolf gives direction, it’s clear and concise. He doesn’t waste time elaborating on details that aren’t important, nor is he vague. His direction is crystal clear and to the point: Jules and Vincent are to stick the body in the trunk and clean the car fast, Jimmie is to get comforters and blankets that aren’t white, then Jules and Vincent are to camouflage the inside of the car with these comforters and blankets.
Providing clear direction saves time, and time is valuable. It provides an understanding of what is expected, why it’s expected, and when it should be completed. Those whom you are delegating tasks to will appreciate the clarity because it will save them time and energy, and reduces the possibility of needing to do the tasks again.
The Wolf doesn’t stand down when challenged by Vincent-he is firm and states his objective. He makes it clear why he is direct and what the outcome of cooperating will be. The Wolf understands that he must empathize with his stakeholders. In this case, it’s Jimmie and the explosive result of his wife returning home before Vincent and Jules are gone. He immediately confirms the facts: there’s a corpse without a head in the garage, Bonnie is to return in forty minutes, and she would be very unhappy to find them still there.
This scene looks so relaxing man, morning, sunlight in every shot, Jimmy in his bathrobe, sipping coffee in a comfy kitchen with two guys in suits covered in blood. Just the type a scene youd wanna live in.
I know right. It's oddly comfy 👌
Not a cellphone in sight, just people living in the moment.
Vincent is covered in blood and brains asking for a 'please.' LOL
Ikr, he had to be "that" guy..... lol 😂
The first time I saw this film when The Wolf said "Come again?" it immediately reminded me of my Dad giving my brothers giving that same look when one of us got snarky. It was the look of "you just poked the bear and you better walk away clean.".
Winston Wolf is a positive model of masculinity (hear me out).
he is comfortable with and sure of himself but not an asshole. he realizes that Vincent was offended and so apologizes while still being all business.
he is not trying to impress anyone. when Jimmy asks how he takes his coffee he doesn't say "black"; he goes for a "girly" order--lots of cream and lots of sugar.
he is always polite, never yells, and his only flaw is that he's all business all the time (but that might just be because of the circumstances).
Tarantino put that coffee line there to show that Wolf is not the stereotypical "macho man". Tarantino knew every guy would read Wolf as a badass and he wanted to remind the dudes in the audience that it wasn't for the reason they initially think (he's rude, he drives fast, etc.) Very great work. great scene. great character.
Clarence takes his coffee with cream and lots of sugar too I’m guessing in QT’s world bitter black is for pussies.
The thing is with Mr Wolf you need a cool and calm head like him A person who takes over the room who can get everyone to do something quickly in a situation where time really is a factor. So you got 40 minutes to get all this stuff done before Bonnie comes back. In this situation, you need someone you will trust to get you out of that situation because if you fail the police are coming after you or you are forced to kill Bonnie and Jimmy to get the hell out of dodge. That's why Mr. Wolf services do not come cheap. He has earned the respect from bailing out so many people and what follows is giving respect to him.
Im drinking coffey all black, im baaad
cream and sugar is girly? A lot of men where I'm from take with sugar and cream.
@@2460-1It really isn't but some boomers feel that way, yknow jokes about it not tasting like coffee, or about peoples' orders being too long in Starbucks, stuff like that
Always wondered how Jimmy was going to explain to his wife how all their bedding and blankets are missing, but "Hey! Look at all this cash I suddenly have!"
"We donated them" end the story. you want to go shopping honey?
Bonnie: "Jimmy, where are all of our blankets?"
Jimmy: "Do you like Oak?"
@@AntAntL Bonnie: “… Oak’s nice.”
Dude did you see how ugly that bedding was? 😁
It looked like fine bedding that would keep you warm and looked nice. Not to mention if they weren't using it his wife was likely sleeping as soon as she came home from graveyard shift. I'm sure Jimmy thought of something though since he knows the director.
Out of all the scenes of this movie, THIS was my all time favourite!!! The Wolf man definitely portrays exactly the kind of man I would respect and love to hang with. Very efficient, no BS, no overlooked details no matter how minute, and right down to business without sugar coating anything. I especially loved his immediate response to Vincent's, "please would be nice" line, very cool. At 6:51 where he says, "let's not start suckin' each others' dicks" is a line I'll never forget.
I've often used that line at work to remind co-workers when we weren't done with the job.
Winston Wolf has been a working class hero for a while. A model leader. Sizes things up quickly, forms a plan, and takes action. Even blowing up Vincent when he tests him and the smile and nod to Jimmy about the coffee. It's perfect.

@@pottergeist Yeah, that word is important to what he's saying and really flavors the comment lol.
Ironic that you say he doesn’t sugarcoat anything, he sure likes his coffee that way.

Probably the most interesting character in a movie full of them.
I agree 100 per cent !!
I was lucky enough to see this film in theaters with my grandparents
I like Mr Wolf. He sees the situation, plans the best course of action, gives crystal clear orders, takes into account possible problems and plans accordingly.
I really like how Winston Wolf presents Jimmy with compensation in a very persuasive way. Regardless of whether or not the linens were actually a gift from Jimmy's family is immaterial, The Wolf presents an uncomfortable situation with some comfort "If your aunt and uncle were with us today, they would furnish you with a whole bedroom set, which your uncle Marsellus is willing to do..." Presenting it in this way is a masterful way of making it easier for Jimmy to swallow sacrificing a bit of his family history and property to allow the guys to get away with this, brilliant pitch.
@lightup6751 I never said it was deep, it was a smart pitch, he could have threatened him for instance, but he preserved what little goodwill they had in this situation.
@@lightup6751 Have you ever actually tried to bribe someone? no obviously not. What he did was not 'simply bribe him'.
@@lightup6751 I see it as he cleans up messes. Wolf ruined Jimmy's towels and was about to fold his blankets in a smashed car, so he compensated Jimmy. Just part of the job of making problems go away without making "bad blood".

There's a local coffee shop in my town that let's you order a coffee "wolf style" (lots a' cream, lots a' sugar).
I appreciate how, even after Vincent's outburst earlier, The Wolf doesn't hold the situation against him or tease too much at the end. He asks him once if he understands, Vincent promises he does, and he drops it. "Fair enough."

Wolf drives an NSX... My man!
A person like Mr. Wolf gets paid really well and is respected because they have bailed out so many people from legal trouble from their own mess. Sort of like The Disappearer from Breaking Bad. You follow what he tells you, you get a new life and new fresh start. You cross these people trying to help you, you are on your own and most likely will be caught by the cops. These guys have earned the respect and as follows get treated with respect . These people are rare that have a cool head and know how to take control of a room.
Mr. Wolf is like Mike actually, professional problem solver and cleaner
Mr Wolf is the ultimate Project Manager/Problem Solver. Tarantino should make him the lead character in some of his movies.
I've thought about this, like a spinoff series. The Wolf
Well a UK car and home insurance company have used him in their advertisements 😂.
I'd pay to see that !!
7:58 There's noting more entertaining than watching Tarantino, as an actor in one of his moves, laughing at the actors in his movies.
3:00 Vincent Vega is like the kid who messed up the whole house and still wants apology for it.
"The Wolf" is definitely the alpha male in this scene.
*_"That's 30 minutes away. I'll be there in 10."_*

Not only did the wolf give a superb service; he taught them his skill set.
Indubitably !
Jimmy is literally the best friend Jules ever had.
I certainly have a notion to second THAT emotion !
I actually forgot that Jimmy calls Jules and Vincent dorks. When I called them that myself and then he said it, I cracked up so bad that I fell out of my seat.
Jules: Don't do shit unless
Wolf: unless what?
Jules: you do it first
Wolf: Spoken like a true prodigy.
Every scene and line is a classic💯
When Jules is like "matter of fact why TF am i in the back on brain detail we switching" has me dying 😂😂😂
The way Jules stares down Vincent the moment he opens his mouth and asks Wolf to say please. Lol
"I'm a mushroom-cloud layin' motherfucker, motherfucker"!
I love that line. That's one of my favorite Sam L. Jackson lines of all time
You got a corpse in the car minus the head in the garage. Take me to it
.....
Winston Wolf is an all-around badass character and really cool guy, but I think my favorite thing about him is he takes his coffee with "lotsa cream, lotsa sugar". Fakers pretend they like black coffee, but people who are really cool aren't afraid to say they prefer it with cream and sugar
In the past I did both all the time. But I discovered that black coffee can truly be good if you get a good coffee bean. Seattle's best i can drink black and it tastes good
I love the fact that some people who saw this movie when it first came out must have been wondering how Vincent was still alive if he was that irresponsible as a hitman only to be greeted with an answer later on during Butch's chapter.
how to appear in a movie for 9 minutes and totally steal it !! masterclass in style and acting..
"I take care of problems " is my favorite line
It’s “I solve problems.” And the fact that you couldn’t even get it right shows us you don’t know this movie very well.
The whole movie's a classic, but this is definitely the best scene.
For me the entire 2 and half hour is the best scene.
Every single detail, every single actor,
Uma, Bruce, Sam, Ving, John, Tim, Harvey...
All of em, damn entertainment for 2 and half hours straight
The monologues and characters in pulp fiction are perfection, I must of watched the movie around 100 times and still it keeps my interest and never goes stale, the perfect movie in my opinion
A please would be nice

I want an entire movie of nothing but Mr Wolf.
This whole scene with Tarantino is an excellent example to show the difference between a train actor and those who are just not cut for the job.
I like his acting. He is memorable and entertaining. He's a great actor in his own way
Obviously Keitel, Travolta and Jackson are bloody excellent in this.
But Tarantino himself plays one hell of a good part here.

Ik everybody talks about how Qt is a professional at making casual conversation in his scenes but why does nobody talk about how the scene when vega is cleaning the windows and jules is in the back and they are both yelling at eachother like some true homies who got into some serious dumb shit and are just laying in "In fact what the fuck am i doing in the back you the mothafucka who should be on brain detail !"
Truly some shit a close friend would say to another when stuck on the shit end of stick because of the latter
Mr Wolf is the original Sigma man
How Samuel Jackson did not win the academy award for his part in this movie is unbelievable! If he never did another movie , just this movie would qualify him for a lifetime achievement award!

That shot of Marvin in the trunk is the closest movie portrayal to a real, lifeless corpse that ive ever seen. It almost wigged me out.
I love Mr Wolf’s charismatic personality
I always loved that he's wearing a tuxedo at in the AM.
We could all use a Mr. Wolf in our lives.
-We woke up, we found him. That's all we know...
-But...
Wolf slaps them both
Everyone's acting is so accurate and precise. its unimaginable
I like how Wolf had the professionalism to just say please to get this fool to do what he needs to.
The smile and polite acknowledgement of the coffee is priceless!
Shit that's all you had to say. That quote by Jules shows just how respected The Wolff is because just the saying of his name immediately draws respect and the knowledge that everything will be fine and taken care of quickly and professionally
He is like a "father" that has the experience and authority thru years of experience 'in the field.'
