- Set on the edge of the Judean Desert, Herodion National Park unfolds some of the most fascinating chapters in the history of the Holy Land.
Formed as a magnificent palace complex by King Herod, it was eventually also his burial site. A century later Jewish rebels utilized the mountain to fight the Romans, and in the Byzantine period Christian monks settled in its ruins.
Covering the unprecedented development of the site, we hope this video will convince you to include a guided tour to Herodium in your next visit to Israel!

"Everyone in his own inner world." I love your take on different interpretations of the shape of the hill into which the Herodium was built. Some people will see something a bit longer than it is wide, and you know they will think how phallic it appears, showing that is constantly circulating in what passes for their mind.
I love Danny;s way of describing everything.
This was a great overview of the location, I really liked the drone footage. I did not visit when I was in Israel, but I saw the Herodium in the distance from Jerusalem. Thank you!
Amazing 👏 ❤
I love these wee videos. thankyou for sharing, bless you,
Glad you like them!
Danny you do a great job
Very well done, יפה מאד נהניתי.
הכובע נראה עליך ממש יפה
I am learning to ask for help, since I am to old to travel to the Holy Land, but so much to learn more, and more.
At minute 3:48 there is a square floor "tile" that has symbols in the corners. One, corner "set" is of "three balls" and the other set looks like it might be Saturn? The beautiful geometric patterns in the middle. None of this is random.
Please some good soul help me understand "a little something" of this beauty..
Thank you either way.
So confused about Herod and his wrath on Jews, yet his knowledge of keeping them from revolting
I believe that this site is a candidate for the place prepared by God of Rev 12. If Chinook helicopters departed from Atarot Airport they could arrive here in minutes.
Where is King Herod's body if you really found the tomb?
He was so hated for his cruelty his enemies desecrated his tomb as not worthy of his burial. Even in death, they would have their revenge on their nemesis.
@@joselimjoco3367 But he took his last revenge killing the Professor who revealed his secret tomb
Early
Depends where :-)
