I am reading Deuteronomy where Moses died and felt so sorry for Moses. It seems like he wanted to go to the Promised Land but Father GOD said no because Moses struck that rock. I am. glad GOD gave his son Jesus to take away our sins.
I was at Mount Nevo in 2006 It's beautiful and there is feeling of calm inside the church there something that brings out many feelings from the mountain you can see the River Jordan and Dead Sea and many other things inside the church is the grave. I washed my hands and feet at River Jordan such beautiful sites in Jordan

Several years ago I had the opportunity to work in Jordan. Went to visit the jordan river and also went to mount nebo. The view is beautiful beyond words. Of course, now two thousand years later, it looks nothing like it did back in the time of moses. I would love to return.

It's not a question of what we can see; as in the case of Jesus, Satan showed him all earth, God showed Moses the whole land. From this we may understand that superhuman ways of showing were used. God gave Moses a last great gift before letting him sleep away.

This is what it does say: Deuteronomy 34: 5,6 5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. 6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
in serbian language (and some other slavic folks) the word *nebo* means *sky* its very interesting. Is there some connection and what the word nebo means in hebrew?
Moses was taken up as Elijah was according to the Samaritan records. This is the purpose he and Elijah came to the Mt of Transfiguration for which all the twelve apostles are present, not just Peter, James, & John.
I have been there as well, and the Jordan is no longer river it once was. It is not much wider than a medium sized creek. Two thousand years of using it for irrigation and other things has altered it drastically

I visited Jordan many times and loved every minute of Jordan and the wonderful Jordanian people . I highly recommend all to Jordan.
