What is ambient light rejecting screens?
Ambient Light Rejection screen (ALR) is a screen that selectively reflects light back to the audience, unlike most common screens reflect the incoming light uniformly in all directions.
What is a CLR screen?
The Aeon CLR® is an EDGE FREE CLR® fixed frame screen that uses Elite Screens innovative StarBright CLR® (Ceiling Light Rejecting®) material. Its serriform optical surface lens microstructure negates the washout effect of ambient light especially from overhead sources.
Are ambient light rejecting screens worth it?
ALR screens vastly outstrip the performance of matte white screens with superior brightness while filtering out ambient light. The end result is that is creates a realistic high-resolution image to be appreciated in all its glory with the lights on or off.
Are ALR screens worth it?
Yes it is a lot of messing around but the result is worth it, or you can go with all dark colors / black and a white 1.0 screen and do all your watching in pitch black and the image will be beautiful. That's the reason Commercial Theaters do it that way.Apr
