I get it now, every time I lose against Trynda is not because he's a HorseExcretion Champ, but the people who playing him are actually gods of advance mechanics like ultra heal, right click and constant dashes. Thank you Pekin for helping me see my mistake.

Hey Pekin! I usually don't comment but seeing that you are finally picking up high skill cap champions, I wanted to say that I am truly impressed. After years of playing champs like Zoe (probably the easiest champion available as she can Q you from incredibly far therefor being 100% safe at all times, and can sleep you which there is no outplay for), I was not expecting you to step into the "advanced champions" territory. Finally the day has come and I hope to see a lot more Tryndamere, but don't expect to ever master the champion as no one has been able to do that so far, not even pro players.

Can you walk us through some of those combos? I was trying to get into Tryndamere but everything you did looked so hard. I liked the step-by-step you gave us when you said you right clicked him and watched your character run at him and eventually you pressed E once. Can you walk us through some of the other combos?

His combo is actually impossible to explain to people unless you're already challenger, so im not even going to try, since it requires extremely frame perfect timings
Player other simpler champions like azir or kalista until you get high challenger, then i'll explain his combos to you

I absolutely love how Pekin subtly hates against champions like Tryndamere, Yone, irelia, etc. Like at 4:00 "I'm just better." But genuinely it really sucks how mages - which we know Pekin prefers playing - take a lot more skill in positioning but bruisers are so easy to play yet ridiculously strong.
Shit, I mean, I'm a jax main, and I don't play him because he's hard. I play him because he's easy, he's always at least pretty good, and he doesn't get picked or banned very often. The difficulty is skewed hard in the direction of the decisions you make rather than your ability to turn the tide of an unlikely fight. Pekin is a challenger mid who's main champ for a long time was a macro based roaming battlemage focused on being in the right place all the time (asol). He makes good decisions, and so it takes nothing to be effective with a champ like trynd. When you're playing tryndamere, or garen, or jax, you go in knowing that you'll win, and you hang back knowing that you won't. It's a fairly straightforward way to play the game, which is something I appreciate. I wouldn't lump yone and irelia in with tryndamere, because with those two, there are lots of opportunities to fuck up, whereas with tryndamere, just about the only micro mistakes you can make are like... "oop, clicked a minion by accident" and "damn, I didn't think I'd take all that damage at once and I didn't ult in time." Shit, he's even simpler than jax, because with jax, you have to at least think proactively about reducing incoming damage, but with trynd it's literally just a binary "will I die though?" and if not, you take the damage you'll take, and you heal up later.
@@googol990 I’ve also experienced this. And yeah, I guess Yone and Irelia don’t really fit but like in Pekin’s videos, he showcases just how ridiculous they can be. Like if you’re playing a mage against these champions there’s literally nothing you can do at times.
But yeah, I never had much experience with league, played casually in 2020 then came back in 2023 only knowing Syndra/Lux/Etc and found it hard to get out of silver/bronze. Once I stopped playing mages like that and started playing Evelynn, Hecarim, Diana, Mordekaiser, (bruiser/assassin junglers) climbing became so much easier - went from s4 to g4 in just a few games and held like 62%+ win rate. I could directly influence the game so much more, carry, and “1v9”.
I’ve also wanted to try out Jax before because its just ridiculous what that champion can do after watching TFBlade play him

If you think you can handle the mechanics, which maybe you can after this video, you should try a garen mid game. Hard to pull off given his passive takes at least a couple second to heal you to full but I think you may be able to!

--Very entertaining commentary. The complaints sound pretty genuine though, and this kind of makes sense when facing simple champions and preferring to play complex champions.
--But the part that allows people to get into higher elo on Tryndamere is all that stuff that is required of a League player in order to be good, but that is outside of having quick and precise hands. Things Pekin does brilliantly and almost on auto-pilot. Tryn *still* requires quick and somewhat precise hands though, since high elo players will play around his strengths and uber-kite, much the same way it's hard to land skill-shots on high elo players. He rewards decision making more, though. And it would be dishonest to say that the quickness required of a Tryn player is anywhere near the precision you need on stuff like Zoe.
--The discussion around Tryn and other simpler champs in League reminds me of the Dark Souls' community and their discussion over whether the game should be made easier vs if players should just git good. The existence of champions like Tryn in League means players who are unable to be as precise or quick as others can have the champ's simplicity fill in for those flaws and compete using other qualities the player has that are still on par. The trade-off usually being that those simpler champs usually have a lower skill ceiling, and a lower ability to single-handedly turn games. I like this idea of accessibility for players with varying physical limitations. But this doesn't seem to be a baked-in or intended feature of League.
--This is because League doesn't have a single design principle. They go for "throw shit on the wall and see what sticks" approach, and this causes many, many, MANY champion interactions to feel completely unfair and utterly frustrating. Because they are. The simpler champions seem to exist with the idea of the game needing them as stepping stones for new players towards learning the game, rather than allowing players with "weak mechanics" to compete. But at the same time their design doesn't really focus on this, nor does the game highlight it for new players. This has been a long-standing issue (lasting many years) with League, but with 150+ champions published and more on the way, there's likely no going back. It's probably just forever going to have those flaws and fairly frequently feel like shit to play because of them.

Ah man I wish I could have seen the facial expressions for this one. xD I get the sarcasm but hey Trynd is a simple champ but has a lot of skill expression in map movement and knowing your limits, which I really like. Even if you can sometimes just right click people, that's just because they don't know how to play against him. Especially after the tenacity rune nerfs CC just ruins Trynd. Loved the video, I don't know why I get a kick out of Pekin playing auto attackers, lol

Pekin is such a skilled player that he makes up for the brainless champs, thus making them look mechanically demanding. Even on right click champs where you press R to win, Pekin somehow adds style to it, fooling everyone into thinking that it's actually difficult to play Tryndamere mid.
