      Hey Steve! You should have a few recovery things or at least your crew should have a bit gear. At least that way if someone slides off the road you can help each other get out. Oh, and never recover off a trailer ball - they are not rated for recovering vehicles and will sheer off and typically go flying through the windshield into someone's face...

      Thanks for watching itumblers. Not my normal content but honestly I wish someone would have made this before I bought it. I actually waited months before I orders because I wasn’t sure if it would hold everything.

    There's a lot jammed in that little bag. Nice space saver. Nice share. It looks like a nice one for flying. My suite case is built like that, but a lot bigger👍🏻👍🏻24

      Yeah I was surprised I could put everything in there - I kind of wish someone would have made this video. I had that thing in my cart for months until I just said oh well I guess I have to figure it out myself. Sounds like your case is a pretty good one - a little bit bigger would be nice!

    I love gear too ! What do you use the soft shackles for ?

    • @DSD
      @DSD Před rokem +2

      Hi @john belanger - gear can definitely be fun - Rhino actually makes some really affordable but good quality gear. A soft shackle allows you to attach a recovery rope, strap, or winch to a vehicle or together (to make it longer). Before soft shackles you would use a metal D rings which is metal on metal (at least a lot of the time). So the soft shackles have similar breaking strength and are easier to use. I actually have both - the D ring was on my receiver hitch adapter and I generally just leave it there.

      Now I just need a winch.

      Lol thanks man I appreciate that. I should’ve recording my outing yesterday but I didn’t record a thing. But it was fun to explore some back road dirt trails out in the desert.

    Pretty solid bag. I've been browsing RhinoUsa quite bit trying to settle on a recovery kit. What would you suggest as a bare minimum kit?

    • @dustyroaddestinations
      @dustyroaddestinations  Před rokem

      Hey Zack good to see you! If you want to check out my stuff let me know when you're back on base and I'll bring my truck! Honestly if you're solo I think the first thing would be recovery boards because you can use that by yourself to get out. The next thing would be a kinetic rope and soft shackles so that you can get someone else out or have the gear to get you out! Rhino USA makes all that stuff - although I got my recovery boards from Maxtrax.

    Rope size and length? 7x6 is not correct

      Yep typo 7/8” 20’ - www.rhinousainc.com/products/kinetic-energy-recovery-rope it’s been a good rope. The large 30’ probably would be better though
