Just stayed over the weekend, mid-November. Ice cold on the lake at night, 2” of snow…but absolutely serene. So cool being all alone in the middle of the great Sierras.
Oh man sorry I thought I replied to all the comments! Yeah there is definitely a payoff for making that trip! It must have been really great - and quiet. - with it snowing!

Unfortunately this channel hasn’t reached the monetized level yet so nothing to be made here. Luckily 4wp replaced the tire and I had purchased a spare rim off of eBay so the really banged up one is off the truck. I did buckle the front driver side fender so that’s a bummer.

Yeah that was pretty crazy and unexpected! On the oatmeal, yeah that was pretty bad and I didn't finish it. I suppose I should have captured that "review" but I was just really done and tired at that point.

Yeah it was a little unnerving. When I got home I also realized I had damage to the driver side front fender panel. And various scratches all over. Not super bad but just reinforce the “I was wouldn’t have done it” thought

Diesel heater worked very well - but I'm thinking a heated blanket might be the way to go - that's what my buddy was using and he said it was pretty nice.
Have you tried Mohogany smoked meats in bishop? Good sandwiches and smoked meats.

Made this trip a few years ago before I had even made the first payment on my new full size. Left with some damaged skid-plates and some good pin-striping. It's beautiful up there, but if the altitude doesn't get ya, the rock garden will.
Yeah that rock garden wasn't a lot of fun. There was one guy up there when I was there and he said he high centered on the rocks and some jeep guys were able to get him unstuck. I was kind of worried about the altitude but I guys it doesn't bother me as much as I would have expected. 10k is pretty high though.

Yeah it wasn’t too bad. If you peel back the flap you can see the inner tire which made me nervous. I hear you the move I’m away from that trip the better the memory!!! Lol
