Absolute facts I’m a beautician and after seeing her brow lamination video which raised some issues like possibly no patch test I couldn’t believe I was seeing this in my recommended, was there no patch test yet again was there no history it’s getting to the point it’s not just possible incompetent therapists she’s also to blame for not doing any research or having the common sense to question if she would also react to this treatment, why is the therapist not following the correct procedures etc

You showered before 24 hours of getting ur eyelash tint so it’s most likely that the tint got into your eyeball and skin which is causing such a reaction

This is actually not true... some brands can get wet after the treatment. I hate when people say things when they dont even know everything about it
@@lanaeetezonne5738 I personally got mine done and the technician told me that most require a 24 hour period to be completely finished for the best effect. And neither you know what solution and tint was used there so no need to be like "I hate when...".

a patch test isn’t an accurate representation of whether you’ll have an allergic reaction or not
Because not all tints are the same. Just because you're allergic to one, doesn't mean you're allergic to all and she did what she knew to do and get a patch test.

You’re allergic to perm lotion because that’s what they use for the eyebrow lamination
It could just be the tint because when she had the allergic reaction to the brow lamination, she also had a tint so it could be the same tint used with the lash lift.
Or she allergic to some sort of chemical produced when the two are mixed and that’s why the patch test was fine
Or she should go to salons that actually patch test their clients.

R - Patch tests are supposed to be done in advance so there is time for a reaction to show up. Clearly there was no reaction otherwise she wouldn’t have went ahead with the treatment.

There should of also been a treatment history taken including information on reactions to previous treatments
That lash-lift doesn’t even look good, believe me
The red in your eye is probably because of the fumes, especially because you said that it felt like a stingy feeling, it’s going away after a couple of days but isn’t very pleasant
Because you are allergic to the solutions you shouldn’t do this again because you can get allergic to more things
I also have sensitive skin like yours, if my eyes or anything ever swell/gets dry I use an ointment called Hydrocortisone which helps sooo much! you can get this just from your local pharmacy - I got mine from Sainsburys! (Its 1% m/m ointment)
Harriet not all the time as prolonged use can cause skin to thin - especially the eye area...
Hydrocortisone is a steroid cream, it’s recommended to only use it for 3-5 days continuously and only once a day with a thin layer. Over using it can thin out your skin and cause more issues.
These are all recommendations by a gp
You are not supposed to use steroid cream on your face let alone your eyes! I work in a pharmacy and this is vital advice.
Chandler Bennett It’s irrelevant for you to comment on something you don’t know about so therefore wouldn’t know what was right for my skin...? I was prescribed this from a nurse and a pharmacist and funny enough it sorted it all out , so if it can work for someone else with the correct advise with their skin then that’s what matters

As a severe eczema sufferer with the most impacted part my face, steroid cream application to the face was a common occurrence. this was advised/prescribe by a GP, dermatologist, Nurse, and pharmacist. Each individual who needs to apply it to the face is instructed clearly on the use and how to prevent skin damage.
Anyone else would not get this done after the allergic reaction after the lamination but feel like she knew before hand she will have a reaction and wanted to do it just got the video

AmyB is she is allergic to the dye it will be the PPD - and anti-histamine won’t do shit. Either before or after, it’s a severe allergy that can result in anaphylactic shock.
@@e.w4546 Im sure it would be obvious if she was having an anaphylactic shock because this video would not have had this quick of a turnaround time?! Anaphylaxis tends to occur immediately after exposure to the PPD so simmer down. Anti-histamines will also aid to relieve the minor symptoms of an allergic reaction?? Histamines are causing her symptoms so anti-histamines won't hurt lol
AmyB So, at no point did I say she was experiencing anaphylaxis. I advised that PPD is a severe chemical allergy that antihistamines are pretty much ineffective. The chemical has been absorbed into her body, and trace amounts of PPD will still remain on the lashes prolonging the chemical reaction. A chemical allergy will disperse based on how quickly your body processes the chemical and how much of the chemical was absorbed into your body, this could mean that the reaction has subsided within an hour or a month. It took me 7 years to become an immunologist, so the advice I’m providing is in a professional stance, so you can be the one to simmer down.

When you realised your allergic to brow lamination you should of thought.... brow lifts and lash lifts have the same chemicals in..... like common sense
It would be common sense if everyone knew that but not everyone knows that most people never do things like eyebrow lamination or lash tint so how would they know all the chemicals? So its really not common sense.
Kember Minnick i dont know any chemicals but i know after i had my allergic reaction i should defo not do anything like that to my skin without patch testing because every reaction gets worse and worse each time u the react

I’m a beautician my insurance provider requires me to have my clients fill out a form which includes the question absolute treatment history and reaction s to treatments most beauticians have a similar form so I either she’s went to a therapist who’s possibly a bit on the dodgey side or she’s out right lied on the form which clients must sign so thankfully if the therapist is not at fault she would have zero come back
Honestly try a lotion from lush called dream cream - it’s a miracle cream for reactions and dry skin

I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to wet your lashes after getting this treatment done for at least 24 hrs because the perm they use needs to set in properly. This is why you might have had a reaction is because you didn’t let the perm and tint set in and wet your lashes (rubbed your eyes probably too) making the perm and tint get everywhere in your eyes

Hi, I’m a nurse in Sweden and I work with esthetic procedures. Some Preservatives in the lash tint causes allergic reactions. This specific preservative can be found in a lot of other products as well so I would suggest you being careful and reading the label on products from now on. It’s not to play around with. Hope you feel better soon!

Sometimes during perms if you react it’s most likely the tint but it can be the glue that is used to stick them up as a lot of clients say it feels hot when it goes on. It’s most likely that during the wiping at the end tint can sometimes get in your eye or the fumes set it off but I would say it’s definitely a reaction to the glue or tint x

You are allergic to formaldehyde, that’s what caused the reaction. This happened to me with eyelash extensions too.

Lash and Brow tech here 🙋🏻♀️ by the looks of things, you could be allergic to PPD which is present in most dyes, lash tints, brow tints and unbelievably, tattoos. The reaction could happen at anytime when your hormones shift (period, pregnancy, contraceptive pill). The only thing I could suggest is finding out if they use PPD in their tints (I believe you can get PPD free ones now).

girl i have the same problem with tint. its sooo annoying. im allergic to almost all of them. but once i had someone literally put hair dye on my eyebrows and my eyebrows swelled up so much. im scared to get lash tint because of it. not to mention i got my hair dyed and my whole head swelled up like a watermelon. why are we cursed with these unfortunate allergies???? ALSO the best tint that is all natural and the only one im not allergic to is Godefroy Botanicals eyebrow tint!! i highly recommend it, coming from someone with horrible reactions to things... you can trust it!

With lvl you have a patch test for everything (or at least your suppose to) tint, perm solution, neutraliser and the glue that she’s sticks the lashes to the rod with, same with brow lamination! It may not just be the dye have a patch test for everything! I work at a hair and beauty salon and we even patch test for strip lash glue! You can never be too careful
I've had this happen to me before and when your eyelids get flakey and crusty just apply a thin layer of vaseline and leave it on for about 5 minutes then repeat until its off xx hope it helps for any future incidents ( :
Girl just get some antihistamine pills at the drug store, you dont even need a prescription, and you can just take them any time anything like that happens and it will help alot!

They use the same ingredients in a lash lift as they do in brow lamination 🙆🏽♀️ make sure you take anti-inflammatory tablets such as hay-fever tablets to help the swelling 😩 i am allergic to lash extension glue and i was so gutted when my eyes swell up like this afterwards

Hi I am an ophthalmology nurse: Take an anti histamine tablet and use cold compresses regularly over the eyelids. If no improvement go to the optician's for an eye check 😊

You’ll be allergic to the stuff they lift it with! I’ve had my eyebrows laminated and they said they use the same “glue” as they would with a lash lift. What’s why the patch test for the tint was fine x
