  • The leaders of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger convened in Niamey for the inaugural summit of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). This landmark event marked the first joint summit of these three Sahel nations, aimed at fostering regional cooperation and addressing the myriad challenges faced by the Sahel region.
During the summit, Captain Ibrahim Traore delivered a speech that captured the essence of this historic gathering. He began by acknowledging the gravity of the situation in the Sahel, a region grappling with security threats, economic instability, and environmental degradation. "The Sahel stands at a crossroads," Traore declared, "burdened by the weight of complex and intertwined challenges that have tested the resilience of our people for far too long."
Recognizing the need for a unified regional approach, Traore emphasized the importance of the AES platform. "Today, we come together as brothers, united in our determination to confront these challenges head-on. No longer can we afford to tackle them in isolation; the time has come to harness the collective strength of our nations, to forge a path towards stability, prosperity, and lasting peace."
Traore's speech was a rallying call for collaborative action, urging the leaders to transcend their national boundaries and embrace a shared vision for the Sahel. "We must set aside our differences, our rivalries, and our individual agendas, and instead focus on the greater good of our region. Only through unity and unwavering commitment can we hope to overcome the obstacles that have long held us back."
The captain's words resonated with the assembled leaders, who nodded in agreement as he outlined a comprehensive strategy to address the region's most pressing concerns. From combating terrorism and extremism to fostering sustainable development and environmental conservation, Traore presented a bold and ambitious plan that captured the collective aspirations of the Sahel states.
As the summit concluded, a palpable sense of optimism permeated the air. The leaders of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger had taken a significant step towards forging a united front, setting the stage for a new era of regional cooperation and progress in the Sahel.

these 3 young men are trying their best level to direct their nations to the right path which they lost in 1960.
You know independence starts from Complete reliance on the mother tongue not the language of the coloniser remove French language from national languages
