When it was opened in 1909, the test hill was a serious challenge for the cars of the day. Incidentally, it's nice to see a Mustang video which doesn't end with most of them sideways in ditches.

This was only a small part of the show that day. Was at a 800+ car show held at a historic racing circuit.
I walked up that hill (and back down) in 2022. It's a LOT steeper than it looks in this video. It's at the Brooklands museum, on the remains of the Brooklands circuit, the first purpose built race track in the world. It was a banked oval.
As a British citizen I wholeheartedly agree that this is boring A.F.!!.

This is pretty cool, some hot looking cars seem to have beans but not really, while other cars that looked tame were monsters.

That hill was race climbed by cars that still had Wooden Wheels, that white hot rod with a supercharger was Insane.
Made everything else seem slow, definitely saved the best for last.
This is the same as the driveway up to my house! What is the big deal here? It would be more impressive to see people on bicycles trying to get up the hill in the fastest times.

Went to this event. Probably my favourite American car event at Brooklands so far. So many Amazing selection of cars there. Unfortunately missed out on Test Hill as would off liked that one. Fingers crossed they do it at American Day? Roll on the Hotrods Hayride.
Was a great day. Very unique collection of cars as well. Not sure if they will have test hill open on American Day or not, I don't recall them having it open before. Can't wait for the Hayride, going to be a great show!

Never done it myself but does look fun, wanted to take the Mopar up there as it was only £5 to sign on. Had enough issues with the car recently though so didn't want to encourage anything else to go wrong with it 😂

Yes is better in person than on video. More of a bit of fun for the drivers and a bit of action at an otherwise static show. Is fun to see what cars can make it up the hill though, never know what's going to happen 🤷♂️

Hard to gauge how much power to put down sometimes. At the top there is very little amount of run off so have to go over the top slowly. Very steep hill as well, I've walked up and down it before, is an experience.

Loads there. This hill climb was a small part of the show. This was part of the 60 Years of Mustang Celebration show. We had 800+ cars, nearly all mustangs but also a Mopar section, Police car section and Movie cars. If you want to see what the full show was like I did a video walking around the entire show.

I really liked the car that idled up the hill in drive while texting. ...I dont think the driver even knew he was making his run I think he turned the corner and his foot just let off the brake while updating his Facebook page !....Quite entertaining though ...I guess.
So is this to check that the fords coming off the line can make it up the hill without breaking down???

Might do one day. There is very little run off at the top hence why everyone slows down so much before getting any airtime.

For a while I thought they were trying to protect the ground surfacing or not staining it with rubber. Was even more surprised they are going at it for time. 😳

Was some cool cars there. Surprised myself that a few more of them didn't do some rolling burnouts off the start line. The hill is surprisingly steep, cant early see that from the video but maybe that was the reason 🤷♂️

They don't warm up the tires before doing this from what I know. This was open on the day for anyone who wanted to take there car up the hill.

I think a lot of these cars would get some air at the top if not for them purposely slowing down. There is very little run off at the top of the hill. There was a supercar a few years ago that didn't slow down and went flying. Also a lot of buildings and things to hit at the top so not really designed to go full speed over the top

Well, I could’ve made a better showing on my go kart, well and actually, I got rid of it when I was 10 years old, but I’m not quite sure what kind of entertainment this is supposed to be. Seems like a bunch of old women driving. And then as I’m riding, finally one gets on a little bit., so at least I got to see one pump a little juice, also when they’re trying to turn the head up the hill reminds me of somebody thinking they’re driving a diesel truck or something almost have to do a three-point turn that’s just too hilarious, Yep I’m back to grandma again in fact, my grandmother could’ve drove better

Idea of this is to basically see if your car will make it to the top of the hill. Just something else to watch at the show. Everyone has their own hobbies and things they find fun. What sort of things do you find fun? Personally I found it quite interesting watching this, was part of a massive 800+ car show at a historic racetrack. Definitely not to everyones tastes but if we were all interesting in the same things I think the world would get pretty plain 🤷♂️
