  • Hello friends !!
    Today I restoation old rusty Wilton vise
    The vise was bought by me at a small mechanic shop, they haven't used it for a long time. I don't have much information about this vise but I did some research and found an antique Wilton vise , similar in shape but quite different in detail... Maybe it's a fake Wilton vise, if you have one. What information can share with me in the comment section.
    Anyway, I made it very nice (to the best of my ability) and pretty good to use.

    FANTASTIC!!! It is better than new. I have never seen a job done this well, and I have watched a lot of them, it's my pastime.

    Wow! Amazing work! You created a beautiful gem of a piece. You almost have to be happy that Wilton doesn’t produce this vise anymore- it would take away from beautiful tools like this one.

      Thank you!! Maybe it's not the real Wilton, maybe it's the fake Wilton... but the shape of the Wilton vise is really nice.

    Rusted.. but looks unused, even new. Not a dent in the jaws, the screw looks new. Nothing adverting of it being used for its purpose. Not even sure that was an old vise. Weird initial condition

      for me this vise was made to rust on purpose with some acid solution.

  • @ronitsingh85
    @ronitsingh85 Před měsícem

    it was rusted on purpose, you can tell by the bright orange rust that it did not rust slowly over the years, this is more grainy form of rust meaning. something was used on it. makes it for a quick and easy video.

    Ten válec se nemaže, piliny a ostatní nečistoty to vtahuje dovnitř. Maže se pouze drážka. Jinak dobré.

    this video is a FALSE, the vise is new rusted on purpose. She has NEVER worked. The thread of the screws is perfectly new, not rusted, the jaws are perfect, there is no hammer mark on the vise body.
    FAKE video

    • @RestorationLover
      @RestorationLover  Před 2 lety

      sorry to give you that feeling... But this vise I bought from a mechanic shop, they don't use it and it's rusted like that... I don't know its history... maybe I was overdoing it with what I had.... Anyway, sorry for the bad feelings

      People could be real dopes sometimes. What a dope. "It's a fake video". LOL

    • @stefanopremori5065
      @stefanopremori5065 Před 2 lety +1

      @@mgamga9476 this video is fake as the vise is not naturally rusted:
      1) natural rust is irregular, this is uniform even on different steels and in protected positions.
      2) the rust that comes with time and from water is not brown / red like the one that has this grip but tends more to black / dark brown.
      3) the threads of the screws are perfect, new. Usually these become blocked.
