  • Broadcaster Ray Hadley describes the Climate Change and Energy Minister as “Casanova Bowen".
Mr Hadley told Sky News host Paul Murray that Chris Bowen is a “complete moron” for pushing his renewable energy ambitions at COP28.
“He’s got 48 bureaucrats with him," he said.
“Imagine the carbon footprint for all of those people.
“That’s without them talking, that’s just flying there.”

Ray Hadley is the best league caller I have ever had the pleasure to listen to.
His politics are on another level which I am uncomfortable with.
Many years ago with Ray in his former role as ARL game caller on 2UE it was the time of, let's call it the "Battle of Super League vs ARL" and our man Ray had picked his side. One particular Sundy before his game call, he asked callers to phone in and give their view on the stoush and he stressed this was going to be an even tempered and impartial afternoon of pros and cons. Well, that agnostic attitude did not last long as caller after caller gave their views as to why Super League had to win the day with hardly a caller supporting the ARL's side of the argument. Worse still, Ray was losing most arguments. He soon had a change of heart and canned the whole exercise by cutting people off mid call then pronounced that the rest of the program was going to be Super League free. That's as true an event as I am sitting here writing it. It seems that Ray has read about democracy and made money commenting on it but unfortunately never walked it....imho.
As an eager apprentice to the man with the golden microphone, John Laws the master of the shock jock, Ray learned his trade well. If the caller didn't support his version of events, just dial the callers volume down to almost nothing, then talk over the top of him until they got the message and went away. John even went further and would advertise a sponsor as the caller, blissfully unaware that the hour they had spent waiting on the phone for a chance to tell it their way (in the days of metered STD calls) was wasted and drowned out by a car or insurance ad.
Yep, the heady days of footy talk back radio. Leopards and spots.
