‘Disgusting’: Chris Kenny calls for Mehreen Faruqi to resign over resurfaced speech

- Sky News host Chris Kenny has called for Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi to resign from the Senate after “slandering” her own country in a resurfaced speech.
Ms Faruqi addressed parliament in July last year to speak about the horrific floods in Pakistan, which killed more than 1,000 people.
In her speech, the Senator hit out at Australia’s “criminal inaction” on climate after the natural disaster.
“We must start a process of making climate reparations to the global south countries who are most harmed by Australia’s contribution to the climate crisis,” Ms Faruqi said in her speech.
Mr Kenny questioned if the Canberra press gallery is running a “protection racket” for the green left.
“This is disgusting and idiotic stuff coming from anyone, but coming from an Australian politician, someone elected to our national Senate - surely this is just beyond the pale,” he said.
She should be back at her home helping her own people
If she say anything like this about Pakistan in Pakistan what would happen to her.
Let the Australians to decide if they want to vote for someone in the parliament is paying by the taxpayers to call them criminals .

Maybe if Senator Faruqi's countrymen hadn't spent close to 25% of the country's GDP over 25 years on nuclear weapons development and a further $billion annually on producing and maintaining nuclear weapons and delivery systems, then the Pakistani government would have had sufficient funds to address the impact of the flooding.
