As an amateur sewer I can say that the wealth of knowledge I got from learning to sew was invaluable. I no longer think about "size" but rather of "measurements" of the garment. It freed me from the idea there is only one way the "waist" hits. I no longer look at the "shape" of the garment rather I look at the "lines" of the garment. When I had my style consultation everything clicked. I wish more people knew what a great tool sewing is.
It’s very true! It gives a whole new perspective on style! 💯☺️
I think it's amazing that you can make an outfit like we saw. Such a talent!
Thank you so much! Still lots to learn! 💕☺️
I agree.
I luuuuuuuuuve that blue! Looks fab on you. I’m a winter too and I want it!!
Thanks Cath! I love it too 💙☺️
Hi sarah, can you do a video about icy colours and show some examples of fabrics like those used in the analysis and how to tell the difference between icy colours and pastels? I read that they are suitable for winters and I'm true winter.
Great idea! The icy colours are definitely part of the Winter colours ☺️💙
This is such good information! And I especially love how do you word things that might be sensitive for some people in such a thoughtful way!
Oh thank you Diana! I appreciate you watching and commenting 💙☺️
Just subscribed after watching your fabulous video on Complete Colour Analysis Spring or Summer from 8 months ago! From a self diagnosed cool summer (I think light) from South Australia!
Welcome aboard! So great to have you here! I’ve been to south Australia! Loved it! 😊
Great video as always Sarah!
Thank you!! 😊
You're sewing skills are very good, lovely outfit you made yourself!
Thank you! 😊 I really appreciate that! Thanks for watching! 💕☺️
Super informative, thank you! And great job sewing that outfit - looks beautiful!
Thank you so much! The sewing skills are getting better bit by bit! 😅💙
Very informative video. 👍
Glad you think so! ☺️💙

You are so welcome! Thanks for watching! ☺️💕
Thanks
Thank you Maria! Always so supportive! It’s greatly appreciated!
Great info, and that outfit is wonderful.
Glad you liked it! ☺️💕
Oh, cool, you wore your new top and trousers. :) What material are they? Since it is summer, I persume Linnen? Ah, that is why I like pattens more on my trousers than in my tops. I am an inverted triangle, and a few month ago, I bought two new trousers for the summer (just to lounge around) and they both have pattons in my colour.
I’m not entirely sure of the fabric as I bought it as a blanket in a charity shop. I suspect it’s a linen mix of some kind! Yes, that makes sense about the patterns ☺️💙
@@sarahryanthestylecoachohh good thinking!!! And really well done with the sewing!
It feels weird calling them "trousers" in the States we say "pants." When pants or jeans fit me in the waistline they hang off my butt or hips. When they fit my butt or hips, i have to lay down and suck in to zip up. I prefer them to fit the waist and be comfortable than have them hug my bum.
Reversibly when I hear "pants" all I think is underwear :)
True In Ireland also. Pants means underwear here 🩲☺️
Lots of great information. Question: Narrower shoulders than hips but large bust. Am I trying to balance the width of the skeleton or the “curves?” I hope that makes sense.
It’s hard to say without having seen you. Keep in mind that these guidelines are quite general. For more bespoke information that is unique to you, I would suggest a body shape consultation. ☺️💕
At M&S I am 2-3 sizes smaller in their wide leg trousers than their jeans.
Exactly! We can’t rely on these sizes to guide us when buying 💯☺️
All of my jeans have "stretch" in them
Much more comfortable! 💯💕
I am long-waisted so i drop my line down. I never tuck in because it trunkates and clutters an already cluttered and scrunched area
Great idea!
I have a problem in that my torso is very long, my legs short in comparison , but I don't have much of a waist. I like tailored 40's style men's trousers, they always look good n me. Before doing Sarah's course I used to wear skinny jeans with a low waist, I looked like a piggy!
So glad you found your style of trousers Maria! 💕
