I love that you do these kinds of videos. I have so many pets I desperately want, but will never get because I know I can't take care of them properly. Like I really want a BCI but I live in a poorly insulated apartment in the arctic and we frequently get power outages in the winter so my living room temperature can fluctuate between the 40's and the 70's and that wouldn't be great. I really want a little pipsqueak of my own as well, but again I realize I don't have what it takes. So I enjoy her on your channel ❤️ One day I hope I'll get my boa though!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wish more people did at least some research before getting a pet turtle (or any other pet reptile), the number of times I've seen poor conditions for both turtles and tortoises is upsetting and worrying. We need more people like you !!!
I love turtles so much. But I love them enough to know at my current time in life I don't have the time to really invest in happy future for them. But I wish I did because I'd love to rescue one but at present I'm not a good fit.
Thank you Dan for making life wonderful for your turtles! I so appreciate you pointing out how to be a responsible turtle dad! Too often people buy living things as a novelty or a gift, thinking they’ll make someone happy only to make life miserable for the animal! Every living creature deserves your investment, time and support so please don’t buy bunnies at Easter, puppies for Christmas, etc. ❤
Thank you for making this video! I wish pet stores would tell the truth and let people know what they are getting. Their care sheets don’t even list the foods turtles and tortoises actually need. People think they can keep them in 10 gallon tanks and they will be fine.

Great video 🐢👍❤️
I absolutely love that you are keeping it real in the work it takes to keep an animal like this! It’s not always shits & giggles, it’s literally always shit & of course their personalities do make you giggle…people I think sometimes read an article or two anf suddenly they are a professional in the care of said animal….like chicks, ducklings, and kits/kittens (baby bunnies) for Easter….then parents are like i DiDnT kNoW iT wOuLd Be So MuCh WoRk ….or…. i DiDnT kNoW iT wOuLd CoSt So MuCh To CaRe FoR! && what really gets me is seeing 32937 fish in a 10 gallon tank….
There is so much more to an animal or animals than just an “aWw So CuTe So TiNy I wAnT oNe”
People should really do their research, like a deep dive…
Talk to other hobbyist,
Beginners, Intermediate, Pros…alike.
Go to the library get books, LOTS of books!
Research online. Find forums specific to the animal you are planning to buy.
Facebook is fantastic for groups, you just got to find the ones for you. Some are nothing but people who forget they too were once beginners, or full of internet trolls….but if you really look you’ll find some amazing groups on FB.
There is also IG & TikTok.
*STOP BUYING ANIMALS BEFORE YOU…*
*USE YOUR RESOURCES*
*DO YOUR RESEARCH*
*Animals deserve a good life….with loving homes*
*animals do NOT deserve to be purchased on a whim because ThEy ArE cUtE*
Thanks DanTheGuppyMan for loving your turtles the way you do! 🩵🐢😍🥰
That’s cute my wife’s snapper is two times the size of the second turtle you showed and he’s not even two yet😂😂😂😂
This is the reason I have musk turtles 😍😍
Must have a backyard for pond, i love it that way with bright sun light and aquatic plant. Great view to enjoy 😅
So I enjoy her on your channel ❤️
One day I hope I'll get my boa though!
Thank you for being responsible!!
@@DanTheTurtleMan_ I was about to buy 2 because of your videos of pipsqueak.
Now my daughter is in tears because I have to reconsider.
Thank you 😞
My mom loves turtles
SO CUTE❤❤❤❤❤❤
He sound like Taylor Nikolai
So cute😊
A wise man once said... "I like turtles".
Me having two gigantic turtles in a small spot: *fighting and scute isnt getting scratched off from them*
Had my older RES girl for 22 years so far! She's gone with me to college and everything 😁
Thanks for the turtle guide I got three red sliders and it worked. Thanks.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wish more people did at least some research before getting a pet turtle (or any other pet reptile), the number of times I've seen poor conditions for both turtles and tortoises is upsetting and worrying. We need more people like you !!!
I gifted my turtle to a friend for Easter and I'm sticking with my Sulcata Tortoise
Diamond back are my fave ❤
Good video dan, i love the editing, thankyou for being truthful about having turtles, I wonder if you regret having turtles
I have 2 and they are huge and yes after 10+years they are loved like my 2 fur boys its alot but definitely worth it💜💜
I'm not but I love watching them in your videos
I love turtles so much. But I love them enough to know at my current time in life I don't have the time to really invest in happy future for them. But I wish I did because I'd love to rescue one but at present I'm not a good fit.
Are you ready for the fact that they'll live more than you and you'd need someone to take their care after your death😊
Yes absolutely yes i love turtles
Thank you for making this video! I wish pet stores would tell the truth and let people know what they are getting. Their care sheets don’t even list the foods turtles and tortoises actually need. People think they can keep them in 10 gallon tanks and they will be fine.
Hold the turtle like the hamburger
If you want something like a turtle but don't want all of the extremeness, get a tortoise
I had two water turtles for five years lol
Pond reveal
Turtles are cool! I don't have room for one though. I do like to see them in nature and once time rescued a cute turtle that was stuck in a fountain somehow.
I wish I had a friend who had this instead :D
