I like it, that nowdays you make an effort to actually try and make an engineering solution and not a "strongest shape" solution. (especially the Infra Space episode where you made a glorious engineering highway mess. Loved it, and warmed my cold enginner heart)

yea, honestly the content is more entertaining without "strongest shape" jokes. I actually like when real knowledge is used and shared because then I feel like I get to learn something while being entertained.
I feel like that's how it used to be for the first few videos of this series... then it devolved into repetitive unfunny childish humor instead of what was the main appeal of this channel: The *Real* Civil Engineer
The content I subscribed for was a mixture of actual creativity combined with experience in „Engineering“ and some funny knobs. And I think this aspect is now coming back, and I like it. I think a lot of your viewers are older than you think, maybe about 20-25. We love your creative ideas of solving problems, and especially seeing you build your own highway engineers wet dream of a junction. Love your content. Seen your first video when you had about 250k subs and subbed later on. I loved and still love what you’re doing here, keep it up.
@@Amodh1257 Well that is one opinion I suppose but not worth suppressing his humor which is honestly great. If you want nothing but real engineering there is a channel out there that is just that. I believe with certainty most people are here for the funny English man and his occasional well educated information. I do want to end this comment by saying I am not trying to be passive aggressive just wanted to put my input in and respect yours.

you don't speak for me, the song can go, the rest can stay. I always skip the intro song when watching Timberborn.
I think I just want an easier way to skip it, then you get the song, and I get to not have it, win-win.

NGL, I sing the Timberborne/RCE theme all the dang time. Even for other games.
My favourite part of the Polybridge challenge levels was the person who wrote "Hello Fellow Engineers" in their bridge designs, that was one of the most random adorable things I have seen lately.
Not as adorable as Paddy, but for humans or polybridge-playing AI, definitely sweet.
I love the challenge ones, but do what you find fun, that's what makes the videos good

You sound so much like someone that used to do vids a decade ago. No complaint. Anyways, I just found your channel and have been having a laugh and enjoying watching the approaches you take to creating solutions. It's alil bit different than the stuff you normally do, but since poly bridge is kinda similar it'd be interesting to see you try Evolution.
I also really like the "Freeways", "INFRA", and "City Skylines" series. If you don't know them, check it out. Also the "Sebil Engineer" and the all time favorite "Timberborners" and "Hydroneer" and "Planet Crafter" series. it's really fun. Matt is great.

8:20 That i would call a panhard rod. looks like the rear axle of almost any old liveaxle vehicle (front to if 4wd) keeps everything in line to a degree whilst still being able to go up and down and rotate vetrically.

I love any extra effort put into your videos but regarding the musical intros specifically, the only request I have is to keep them short enough as to not take away from the "meat and potatoes" of the video. Still love the songs I've just seen too many of my favorite CZcamsrs get caught up in their presentation and forget to keep the video's original integrity. Keep up the great work Matt 😁👍

These videos where you’re actually attempting the level as an engineer and evaluating other designs are why I subscribed. The strongest shape has grown a bit tired if I’m honest. That said, not a single architect joke, I am disappointed.
