God bless you and keep you!
Please pray for those of us who live in North Carolina that Mark Robinson is never again elected into a position of power.
Vote MAGA out!
IRS needs to revoke their tax free status.
@@kathydittmer9659 Remember this speaker is the state's duly elected and serving Lt Govenor. He is not the preacher but rather a guest of the preacher. He is also the GOP pick for Govenor in this fall's election.
If the church supported his speaking & speech, yeah, revoke their tax status for political speech in the pulpit.
@kathydittmer9659 This church allowed someone to preach the worship of war and death. It was heartbreaking to see folks cheering statements like "some folks just need killing." That church needs to have their tax-free status removed.
There should be no tax free status for any church, temple or mosque. If they don't take in enough they won't be taxed just like people with low income do not pay any federal taxes.
Some of those mega churches take in so much money that the pastors and the elites running it buy mansions, private planes, yachts adn live like the rich and famous.
@@kathydittmer9659 I've been saying this for years.
I was a Marine Corps Infantryman from 1977-1991. I did not attend church during those 14 years because I saw the hypocrisy of worshipping the King of Peace, the God of Love and devoting my life and skills to bringing death to others.
When I left the Marines I began to seek a church. I became an ardent pacifist. After 9/11 I joined the Mennonite Church. I am still fighting, within myself, the 14 years of Marine Corps training and at times struggle to pursue peace and God.
What an amazing story, thank you! During Vietnam we often matched with Veterans For Peace. Some of the most thoughtful people I've ever heard!
My prayers for you my brother
Iay not been in the Military I did try. But, I see the hypocrite thing with church and evil.
Forgive yourself 1st,❤
Thank you so much for your honest testimony! I have the utmost respect for you. The strength it takes to be honest about this when you and your fellow servicemen have been given mixed messages for so long. You are an example of God's healing in action. Peace to you.
I live in NC and am so concerned about this far right candidate Mark Robinson. We are moving back to Michigan next year and I’m honestly so glad. Have we not heard the words of Christ? If we say we are prolife how could you vote for this man?
Exactly. And welcome back 😊❤
@@tloof2370 Thank you! I can’t wait to be back in Michigan where everything makes more sense. NC is a beautiful State thou. Very concerned with this man thou.
Pro life should regard the Mothers life just as important as a fetus and also what the childs life will be like if born to evil parents. Life begins at first breath, NOT AT CONCEPTION. READ YOUR BIBLE
@@Adaisy45I just moved back up north after living in NC for five years and still have family that live there. I gotta say it’s so depressing to think someone like this could be elected governor after having a great man like Roy Cooper as governor. Governor Cooper protected us during Covid, pulled the NC national guard from the border after trump started separating families and fought against Duke energy to protect the national forests . I pray that the good people of NC make the right choice ✌️🇺🇸💙
Michigander, here.🙂👋
I'm glad, for you and yours are coming home. If the move will offer you and yours some peace and a sense of safety, I say make the move.
Much love.🤗💞
We won't have him. NC is purplish, but not crazy.. Support Josh Stein..
@@edg3048 Sometimes I wonder .... Still may he not be elected Governor and may this campaign be remembered if he runs for additional office.
I would like to believe that about NC.
Unfortunately, I see the opposite playing out down there.
To many bigots flying traitor flags.
@@terryhenderson424 I lived in North Carolina during the Reagan and Bush I eras. And it has gradually become crazier ... especially in the rural areas. I left The South -- and later the Midwest -- because of the overt racism. I have never looked back.
@@ficialintelligence1869 Individual states have gain reputations, honestly earned or not, for having specific social attitudes and people are flocking to those areas who think they align. Meanwhile others are slipping out the back door as soon as they can.
Amen to that! I hope you're right.
I live in NC and cannot even begin to tell you how upsetting it was to hear his words and to see those individuals cheering him on, is absolutely heart wrenching! Everything and I mean everything you stated is exactly how I am feeling, although I would be remiss if I did not state this man scares the bejesus out of me if he gets elected!! I so appreciate you bringing their rhetoric to light so that it does not sit and become normalized!
Live just across the border in SC and feel your pain. Most of our shopping and M works in nc. I am past disgusted. PLEASE VOTE against him. VOTE. I can't vote against him....we have our own demons here! lady g and tim scott come to mind.
@@maurettehanson3655 Good luck! I have family in Fayetteville. They are with you!
I see a lot of that behavior every time I go down to NC.
My children live in North Carolina. I fear for you all.
Sweet Jesus wept.
I had hoped Anerica would never descend into this kind of madness, but here we are and people who profess to be Christian are leading the way.
That is the scariest part
@@UnashamedCaliforniagirl In my estimation, what this man and others like him said, is noting short of t-word-ism. If it weren't for the fact that they get cheers from the pews for this kind of rhetoric, I wouldn't be so concerned.
It’s heartbreaking
The notional comparison by the Lt Gov of state-level violence to overblown domestic squabbles is simply frightening and disheartening. He needs to be reminded that attacking those for simply existing differently than he and his ilk is exactly how the evil forces he uses as comparison behaved
Exactly! He has to ask himself, does he want to become the very thing he seeks to destroy?
What is even worse is the resounding applause that he received from those devout Christians.
When someone shows you who they are believe them. They are not even hiding it anymore. Scary. Jesus help us
Jesus and the 2nd amendment.
That guy scares me. People like him should never be in a position of power. It will be abused.
My head is swimming because I just saw a Mark Robinson sign in my neighbor's window. I can't believe they would support such a person.
My dad's oldest brother was killed at Pearl Harbor defending his ship, the USS Arizona. I deeply resent Robinson even daring to use this reference as an excuse for his hate-filled rhetoric. And Robinson is an African-American - it wasn't so very long ago that people in his own state uttered the same words regarding people of his race. The irony is just mind-boggling!
Exactly
I am from NC and I can definitely say that I will be voting for the "other guy" Josh Stein. I find Mark Robinson's rhetoric to be quite disturbing and very dangerous in general. Please pray for the State of North Carolina in this matter. May God bless you as well as beautiful Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
I don't know how much applause the rest of his talk got, but I did note that very few people audibly agreed with his shocking statement. NC, please vote that fellow down.
And has the nerve to talk about nazis when he is a holocaust denier
He is?
" War is a sign of humanity's failure" amen ❤️
Before Pearl Harbor, the right wing America First movement was having conventions & parades in the United States equating Hitler with George Washington. Fascists were loud & proud in the United States until Fascists attacked us. And they rose back up in the United States as soon as WW2 was over. Communists were our allies in WW2, but the U.S. made them enemies at the end of the war, to start another war. Ike warned about the Military Industrial Complex, but too many people want to jump to dominance, abuse, violence, & war, instead of peace.
Neo nazi events were held in America at places like Madison Square garden through the 50's, they still continue but at smaller venues, and trump rallies
Thank you for knowing history!
PBS has a documentary talking about this very thing "Nazi Town" .
I agree with you that too many jump to the dark side - peace is hard.
You are so right about how the Red Army having our backs until Roosevelt passed on and Truman was elected president. Roosevelt always treated the Soviets with respect, bringing members of the Red Army over to personally speak to our Congress. Truman was drawing up plans to drop atomic bombs on Soviet cities as soon as he was done with Japan. Someone tipped the Soviets off. After the war Eleanor Roosevelt traveled to the Soviet Union to visit some of the soldiers who had come to the U.S. to speak.
Rachel Maddox wrote a book and documentary on the issue the American Nazi movement in America in the 1930s.. Thank God for FDR.
That is true, many fascist ideas do come from the U.S. unfortunately…
The greatest military strategist would agree with you Ed. Sun Zu always insisted war was the last resort and as you stated, if you find yourself at war it is because you failed all diplomacy.
As a combat vet I can say conclusively those who clamor for war never actually fought in one. The handful who have served and were in war did not see real combat, didn't see wounded civilians die of sepsis, didn't have a 500 pound bomb dropped on their house.
@@mainely8007 Those of us who are so lucky as to not see what you have seen can only imagine and owe you a debt of gratitude. Im positive you are right. War is a failure of leadership OR, it’s a source of profit from men whom never served. Industrial military complex is why we wage war now. The department of defense has not once defended this country. It has only assaulted other countries.
I always appreciate your continued voice of sanity in response to these things.... I went back and watched the video where he said that and he also said "Some liberal somewhere's gonna say that sounds awful, well too bad." Well, it was Jesus who said the peacemakers, the meek, the persecuted, are all blessed and that it's to them that the kingdom of God belongs. He said to turn the other cheek, to walk another mile when forced to go one, to give your tunic when asked for your cloak. He told Peter to put away his sword. He harshly criticized the Pharisees for disparaging people they didn't like. "Some folks need killing." Well, that's exactly what they did to Jesus...
well said
This is where I run short on empathy. I felt sorry for some of the ladies behind him though. How reluctant they were at first to clap. Their faces, and their ultimate obedience will forever be associated with what he said. Unless one of them stands up publicly and risks herself, her station in life, her place in church, possibly her marriage, she’s now part of his evil.
This one is evil personified. A shame he is still walking and talking.
No pastor or council worthy of their salt should have allowed him to speak from the pulpit. Shame on them!
Kwe. This reminds me of what Gandalf said to Frodo about Gollum deserves death.. “Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends” I still remember those words. And it still makes me think, Nmultis
It was that very quote that made me rethink my support of the death penalty back in high-school. It will forever hold a place in my heart.
❤Thank you! This is why I come here, because the message is always humble & honest. I'm thankful you're doing what you do. I live in the wilderness of the world & checking in with you is a safe harbor in a cess pit. I take full advantage of the kindness & goodwill you share & gird myself with it. It supports me in making better choices in my day, it gives me pause before my tongue utters a sound, I do better in the world because you remind me that I can. Thank you!❤️
Ditto!
Ditto! 🙏❤️
Voting for Old Joe, not for those Evil Psychoes!
Amen 👍💙
Very scary man, to say what he said, where he said what he said, in the way he said it.
If that’s Christian I will never ever trust a person that claims they are Christian again.
I call them leviticus christians, that's their preferred book
@@chaosmarklarI call them stuff I can't even spell!
Thank you for speaking on this.
This statement made me physically ill. So much hate and anger on the right.
Mark Robinson makes my stomach turn and my blood boil. I fear for what bloody hellscape NC will become if he wins. He must lose badly so he and people like him get the hint.
Stop church tax exemptions NOW!
That's not a real Christian Church. Jesus commanded his followers to love our enemies and pray for them to be saved.
We aren't to scapegoat, demonize and decide what group should live or die as if one lone flawed fallible person is their Jury, Judge and Executioner.
If Mark Robinson lived in Germany during Hitler's reign this black man would not have made it out. Does he not understand some haters still feel that way about his racial group? He has a lot of nerve.
The problem is that not all churches do this. Why punish ALL churches for the sin of some of them?
Your voice of reason in an era of hysteria is so important. Thank you for shedding your light and truth. ❤❤❤
It is getting very scary here in the US.
He's far gone, but those people sitting there smiling and clapping need serious intervention.
Like a preacher, dresses like a preacher, and was speaking from a pulpit. When i first caught an out take of him, i thpught i was listening to a preacher's sermon. My soul is assaged to learn he is not a preacher yet i question the preacher and also church which allow this to be spewed from the alter of thier home; thier church home no less. My spine got chills however to realize he is already the duly elected Lt Govenor of his state and being welcomed as a canidate for Govenor.
He obviously doesn’t follow any of the teachings on gluttony. Grift. Theft.
When you talk politics in a church, I agree with others. No tax exemption. On the TV show MASH, Hawkeye said it best, “ war is war and hell is hell, and of the two war is worse.” When asked why by father Mulchany he answered, “ who goes to hell? Sinners. There are no innocent bystanders in hell, but war is full of them.”
Thank you for your prayers, I a, calmer now. I am still going to meet my cousin and the nuns in the Darién, we are going pick up women and children, and take them all to a farm…pray I get all the funds to buy it, set them up and make it their new home. They really should not come to the USA, not safe for them!
We truly are falling apart, may never return!
Blessings to all and thank you for your loving support, and a place I don’t feel like I am on the wrong side of the battle!
Good morning y'all & prayers for all of you.
When the word of god speaks fear, hate and suspicion, it’s coming from a source far beyond the realm of peace, love and acceptance...
👣🕊👽
violence is always a sign of weakness.
"When a thought of war comes, oppose it by a stronger thought of peace. A thought of hatred must be destroyed by a more powerful thought of love." 'Abdu'l-Bahá.
AMEN REVEREND 🙏 🙏 🙏 You have an amazing gift to be able to tackle so many difficult subjects and teach a reasonable way to address the situation. May GOD continue to give wisdom to your voice.
As a North Carolina resident, the prospect of a governor who says such things AND who denies the existence of the Holocaust and states that Africans voluntarily came to America, both supported historical truths, makes him the epitome of a line-towing Republican. He is a dangerous enigma, to say the least.
Unfortunately this type of hate has filtered in the church among the Body of Christ.
Far too much of it
My daily dose of calm reason and thoughtful Christian stances on highly polarizing topics. Thank you for this ministry.
Amen. Thank you for your candor. I appreciate your voice of reason in these turbulent uncertain times.
"War is a sign that we failed" Yes... For all those that don't profit from it... We surely don't gain anything. Even if it happens far away. It's never good for the people.
Amen! My granddad did not believe believe in the death penalty
based on religious teachings.I am opposed to it as well!
We fight NOT against flesh and blood.
Dang! I thought this guy was a pastor! Geez! Lt Gov.
Lt Gov Robinson portrays the modern evangelical church exactly - claims to be Christian and to follow Christ but his words and actions are the exact opposite of everything Jesus commanded his people to do. War to defend one's nation or to truly defend others against an evil enemy might be allowable or necessary but declaring war on one's own people over race, religion, political ideologies, or whatever other stupid reason humans come up with is a huge sin. Using religion to attack others and conquer their land or take their resources is a huge sin. Using violence to force people to follow a particular religion or political ideology is a huge sin.
The church is going to pay a heavy price come judgment day because of its failure to hold to the very simple commandments that Jesus gave - Love God with all your being, love your neighbor as yourself (and Parable of the Good Samaritan defines neighbor as every human being), and treat others as you want them to treat you. Plus the idolatry in the church glorifying wealth and power, and in worshipping a very flawed, godless man who exemplifies all 7 of the deadly sins and then some show just how far the church has fallen away from following the REAL Lord.
He's also a pastor, that's how he got in office
@@chaosmarklar Thank you! I’d missed the part of him being lt Gov on the other channel I originally saw the clip. Some much out there it’s overwhelming. I guess that’s the strategy.
Thank you, again, Rev. Trevor's!
Jesús taught a great lesson when confronted by the religious establishment to condemn a woman caught in sin. He simply asked them to turn that amazing zeal for the Lord and righteousness towards themselves. Let's see how we measure up. Are we without sin? Ummm mm no? Then, let's wait for the One who is in a position to judge! Lord, have mercy on us ALL!
If you read that closely, many of the men in attendance sinned with her in particular. They were willing to stone her for sins they had participated in.
@@tiandao8503 true. And also note they did not bring in the man who was sinning with her at that time when they brought her to Jesus. It just shows their own hypocrisy that it was never about the sin that the woman was doing. They intended to catch him in a hypocrisy but instead he turned in on them because they were guilty.
how amazing your reflection on a day with the shooting in PA. we need to keep speaking your prayer to those who would listen.
Thou shall not kill.
TY Rev Ed Trevor's.. the Lt Gov of NC needs to repent & we should PRAY for him & his family & workplace. Communities praying for each other "Pray for all in authority for it is right"
Thank you, Reverend. They are all part of a cadre of politicians who have ejected Jesus from their "Christianity" for being entirely too woke, too compassionate, too soft. I have no notion of who their Jesus is - I know it is not the Jesus of scripture, of the gospel, of the Sermon on Mount or of any community I want to be part of - it sadly resembles more closely those evils of which Robinson spoke. And it frightens a great many of US. Thank you again for your words of comfort.
Yeah, I agree. They literally had people come up from the congregation saying they didn't believe what the pastor was saying and he literally said it was quotes of Jesus own words and they still couldn't except it. This reminds me of the revelations, where the anti-christ transforms himself into an angel of light - 2 Corinthians 11:14. Which now reminds of the fact they created a gold statue of trump and people are literally kneeling and praying before it.
Sounds like someone who would have been in the crowd yelling for the death of Jesus.
And the people listening and in agreement too
Vote Blue Save America 🇺🇸
Amen Rev Amen 🙏
I for one am a faithful observer of the 10 Suggestions.
Is this Mark Robinson fellow trying to one up Kristi Noem?
Good morning!
…you’d think that “some people” need to express love, especially ministers!
Amen!
Especially agape love!
You're awesome and I love you unconditionally, my friend.
I find it very peculiar that a person whose race -- back in the "old days" to which he might have been referring in his speech -- would have meant that he, too, "needed killing". Does he have no understanding or has he completely blocked out the memory of lynching, especially in the southern states?
I feel like that about him. I find that the ones who are the loudest about something are usually the guiltiest about that thing. He can't keep his pants up, so that's what he says women cant keep their skirts up. The nerve of him. I live in NC, and I hate him.
I am on your side as far as killing people killing is evil no matter who is doing it. What I want to say is this that killing a person who took another life does not bring that life back it does not detour others from taking another's life. What I do want to say is that the story you gave of the rich young man that came to Jesus asking what he needed to do to find eternal life the response that Jesus gave as this young man walked away saddened because he didn't get the answer that he wanted. The gospel says that Jesus looked after him with love in his heart and we need to remember that all things must be tempered true love.
That is the thinking behind the death penalty, but I'm not sure it's true. It's my understanding capital punishment has been shown to be a surprisingly ineffective deterrent against crime.
Amen
Thank you.
That candidate also said there should be no exception for the life of the mother. Which is easy to do when you know YOU will never have to die of a miscarriage. “Let’s YOU die for MY religion” isn’t a great witness.
Religion is human made. As is our politics. There is death and glory in the old testament. How do we offer love in these situations?
I would never say something like that, but if I did, it would be about people who say something like that!
He was out of control!
Not Christian speaking at all.
Thank you for addressing this.
Peace be with you in the name of our LORD
Jesus Christ, amen ✝️
Thank you for this video! As a North Carolinian, I’m truly worried about our chances of winding up with this man for governor. He says the Holocaust wasn’t real, wants to deny women’s rights for bodily autonomy, wants to do away with pubic education and so on. If you live in NC please look at everything he says and does before casting a vote for him!
Thank you for your commentary. This is unacceptable in a free society. Are we still a free society?
Christ came to cancel out the old testament with the new. Be the love of God that you are and there will be no more tyrants!
Amen.
Thank you for putting this out. Amen 👍👍👍👍👍
SCARY !!!!!!!
JUST PLAIN SCARY
Netflix has an outstanding mini series on WWII. I think 8 segments, to the point and easy to watch. My father served, he never talked nor boasted about that. I was going to relocate to NC, if he wins I'll make another choice. He is a horrible individual and what was really shocking the people clapping.
Couldn’t agree more with today’s word/segment. I’ve never understood the death penalty. We don’t live in the OT. I am pro life but I think it goes beyond abortion, which should always be a decision left up to the woman, her family, and her medical team.
I really like what you said about wars being human failure. It hurts my heart to think of all those innocent people who are affected by wars.
And Robinson is one of those people!!🤬
I watche it before and can't watch it again
Yet they are the pro life party. The whole thing makes me ill and sad.
Thomas Matthew Crooks may have taken his speech to heart.
As a former Christian, I'm glad there are still a few folks like you who are trying to save the Christian religion from the hate, ignorance, and violence running rampant in the churches.
Its obvious that wickedness is running rampant in high places. You don't have to be a saint to see that.
I'm on it 🙏
Yeah I'm a resident of North Carolina and I'm going to tell you if he becomes governor I am leaving
So Very True Padre !!😮😅
I am also VERY MUCH AGAINST the death penalty…😢
Me, too. Governments can let an innocent person out of prison and compensate them for the error or sending them there, but the death penalty doesn't allow for mistakes.
Karma is both a blessing and a curse.
She is only a bitch if you are :) .
Robinson should Not ever be put in the position of power!
I live in NC and this guy really frightens me. He is saying so many really disturbing things. Pray for us.
The first thing that came to my mind is Isaiah 5 but in particular v-20
How does anyone even have such thoughts in their mind? As much as I dislike some people and, as much of a threat that I perceive some people to be, those wicked thoughts never cross my mind. Is it a psychopathic "thing"? Is it a lacking of one's spirituality and connection to the Divine? I have a difficult time wrapping my mind around such blasphemous thoughts and feelings.
Thank you.🤗💞
Amen!
Nothing has caused more war than religious fervor. People need to stop people praising and worshipping those in positions of power that are abusive in it.
It must be so hard as a man of God to hear such anger and hatred in this world.
I'm so sorry this is going on in the Christian church . This must be miserable for you Rev .
If all pastors were like you I probably wouldn't have left the church .
When I hear you speak it brings God's words to my mind; I can't quote book, chapter and verse, but "let him who is without sin caste the first stone", "vengeance is mine, says the Lord", God is love.
Mark is gonna really be surprised when he sees what karma looks like.
So we can call those extreme late-term abortions.
Greg Locke is downright insane.
