  • Unfortunately, Jerry's 2014 Polaris RZR 800S has developed a pretty bad rod knock. We were hoping it was the clutch, but no... it's the engine knocking. In episode 1 we took the engine out of the machine. Today we are going to tear it down and get the crankshaft out of it, and hopefully identify the root cause of the knocking noise!
In this 5 part series, we will be removing the engine from the chassis, rebuilding it, then installing the engine back into the frame. It is going to be quite a process with obstacles along the way, but all in all we had a lot of fun. I invite you to come along on this journey with us as we get this thing up and running, then back on the trails!

Side to side dont matter as much as up and down all will have side to side and the bottom of the rod big end will be blue if bad bearings hafts

Would love to see a time lapse between scenes. That way we can see it happen

When you removed the counter balance gear, what is the size of the three bolts? 6mm is too big and 5mm is too small.

How long did it take total to pull rebuild and put back. Any special tools needed? I got the same problem.

What is the cost in parts to do all of this?
