  • Outdoor shooting review of my updated Crosman 2240 Co2 pistol. Using H&N 15.89 grain pellets with targets at 10 Yards, 12.5 Metres and knockdowns at 15 Metres. Not too bad.

    Cracking little pistols these I have one and carry it daily for pest control purposes and are very capable for quick dispatching when needed. I’ve had mine for a good few years now and it’s never let me down.

    I have the 2240, and I can’t hit a barn door. I don’t know if it’s me, the pellets I’m using or the gun itself. And I’m supporting my hands on a couple of sturdy pillows. Must be the gun. After all, a mechanic always blames his tools. 🙄😊

      Clean the barrel, get a quality pellet and keep a steady hand.

      Try steel pellets. I have a $300.00 Gamo Swarm rifle that shoots crap with lead pellets but is absolutely surgical with gamo steel pellets.

    Hi.. as a beginner I’m torn between co2 pistols and PCP… I realise the PCP requires a pump but after that there is no other costs beside pellets, in your opinion do you think something like the Crosman is worth buying even with the extra cost of co2 canisters..? Thanks

    • @reevessairgunningreviews5572
      @reevessairgunningreviews5572  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes. The Crosman 2240 is a very affordable, powerful and accurate Co2 pistol and if like me you have around 75 Co2 airguns then buying in bulk (You can get 100 capsules for under £30) There are plenty of break Barrel pistols, some Pneumatic pistols that are very affordable and only require pellets only. A really good beginner pistol is the Beeman P17 single stroke Pneumatic that you can get in both .177 & .22 Cal. If you scroll through my videos you will find a fair few break barrels that are very good, and affordable as long as you shop around. Springers and Gas ram help you learn a good shooting technique, especially the hold, where Pneumatic are re-coilless.
