What I remember seeing isn't in this video Jason's Garage. I have been looking at some of the other videos I watched from you and had no luck in finding the particular video with that harness that plugs in on the passenger side rear bumper just under the tail lights. Jason Thanks for all you videos. I just bought a 2013 Z06 w Z07 package. 60th anni edition. Picked up these tail lights along with the smoked side markers. Also did all their HID upgrade bulbs, reverse and license plate LED upgrades as well. I decided on the switchback setup for the DRL so all is matching white lighting while driving and Amber only when using turn signals or hazards. Thoroughly enjoying your other reviews as well. Will be adding the ZL1 addons aluminum lift pads too especially given in my state the safety inspections now require jacking up front end to check ball joints/tie rods etc. Will also be doing the head work with AHP and am thinking of a small cam while in there. Keep doing what you’re doing man - your Z is sweet. Love the wheel tire combo as well. Everything you do is very tastefully done! Lastly - I believe I owned your 2002 SS Camaro. I sold it 4 years ago but loved that car as well! We have very similar tastes my man. Rob

Hey dude you should definitely get the morimoto LED headlights. This will make your car 1000 times more luxurious. Btw I freaking love your corvette. In my opinion, it looks better than the stingray and it has a 7.0 liter v8 which is probably the largest corvette has ever made. Add a supercharger and you'll be on zr1 level or even higher. Keep up the good work.
I have a machine silver '08.... went with the regular lense... really like the look and the increased intensity! Clear or red... its all a preference.... both ate great upgrades! 👍🏼
The more I have them on my car, the more I really like them...and I liked them from the start. 😀 I was planning on tinting them just a little bit...but they do have some darkness to them that makes me second guess that idea. They are really great. Plug and play, great quality and do the job. Let me know when you get yours to compare and let me know what you think of how they compare to Eagle Eyes.
I appreciate your quick response Jason's Garage. I thought that might be the case. I did order a set for my Vette. I don't understand why you promoted the added harness with the tail lights. It looked like two transistor heat sync parts wired to the harness that plugged into the harness under the tail lights. I believe you said it kept some kind of interference from happening. I have every light bulb on my C6 changed over to LED bulbs and have never experienced any problems, just asking!!

Have you considered inlaying the “Corvette” on the rear? When I bought my vette, the original owner had installed a chrome “corvette” there and it was damaged, so I removed it and some glue was left behind, so I painted it black with rattle can. Wow it looks great on the silver. Just a thought.

Yes, I agree...the clear ones would look best on a red one...but I think they would also look good on black if you have supporting visual mods as well. You will really like them on your JSB GS!

Hey, do you know anything about the new Morimotos with the pattern turn signals? I’m not a big fan of the pattern and wanted to know how to either change the pattern or turn that feature off?
Here's the story on them... they were originally offered with the sequential feature, but having it on made a ~1 second delay before illuminating...which is very dangerous in many circumstances. So then they removed the sequential function, which are the versions that I show in this video and I still use to this day. I heard they revised them to allow for sequential without the delay, and if so...and if they are like the 1st version...you disable the sequential display by simply disconnecting a connector in the back of the taillight unit.

I agree, and that is why I kept the red ones. However, the style is just different enough to look good without being overly aftermarket. Pretty happy with them!
If it ain't broke don't fix it. When you begin making modifications to your Vette it can become neverending and you spend way more money than you will ever get back. It can become a very expensive money pit. After 30 years of making upgrades and modifications to my 77 Vette, I finally sold it and purchased a 2012 Grand Sport. I will not make that same mistake twice...
You haven't seen my other videos about this car, have you? 😎 It all depends on where you place your values for how you enjoy a car. After one failed car build, followed by a magazine car build, followed by a SEMA car build, and now my current Corvette...I am definitely aware of the risks and for me personally, the rewards. I would buy those but in germany the turnsignal has to be yellow and the Police would stop me if they where not. What should i do, are there other tail lights with yellow turnsignals wich do not look like trash like the stock ones?
I don't know if they make them in any other color besides smoked and red, I am sorry to say. The only thing I can think of is to get the smoked, and then crack it open and replace the red LEDs with yellow ones. That would take some work but would look REALLY good.

keeping the C6 Z06 bone stock will retain its value, mods like this decrease value IMO...however, the chrome wheels gotta go - either powder coated black or dark grey would look great!!
I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it to have fun and make videos. :) I know some people do keep the investment value higher by staying stock. Wheels? Yes. I agree 100%. I do not like chrome wheels on my cars. In fact...expect a new video this weekend about new wheels...and tires...and oh boy...is it ever going to drop a few jaws. :)
You know that "Mods like this" are completely reversible right? As long as he holds onto the original lights, would actually be superior in that respect! As it keeps the original lenses in better condition, sitting on the shelf or whatever, while these aftermarkets are getting weathered.

When I press on the brake all interior lights come on, when I use turn signal they flash with the turn signal. I disconnected all 4 and car was back to normal. Alot of people have been having problems with them there is a write up on Corvette forum, supposedly the manufacturer knew there was a problem but they continued to fuel the demand. I ordered mine through vette lights and told cole about it. But the problem is they dont have any in stock and the next batch may arrive at the end of may and people are in line waiting. Wtf also I didn't even have an hrs use with them I have an 07 z51

Not to challenge your opinion, but I am curious as to why? I only ask to hear an alternative point of view. I like the Morimoto style because to me it is cleaner and more on the side of an OEM look. Just curious is all.
Hey - so I watched this video back. After looking at them illuminated, i think it’s because they are not a solid tube of light. It seems like you can see every little LED which gives the round light a pixelated look. I think you said it looks solid but it’s definitely not showing on the video. Hope that makes sense . With the eagle eyes, each bulb is evenly and equally lit although I’d love to know your opinion if you check mine out. How are the oracle Led side markers holding up? I love that video of the install but they’re so damn expensive and if I go with dark smoke then I’ll need to darken my eagle eyes. Gotta go with dark look all the way around
Imo I still think the eagle eyes are the best aftermarket you can get , the lens looks factory, the morimoto's look like afterburners lol so 👎on the morimoto tails.
A lot of people suggest the Eagle Eyes, but I don't like the "dotted" look of the LED lights. I can see how the Morimotos look like afterburners, but I like them. Maybe even a bit more than I had expected after trying the "smoke" version.
I was afraid they would look cheap but in person they look like what the factory should have done. The quality is light years beyond the "Eagle Eyes" and don't look near as cheap. I didn't do the C7 style headlights for the same reason you mentioned...I didn't like the wannabe look.
I made this video almost 4 years ago...and I am still trying to pay off the credit card for it! 🤣 Happy to help the Corvette community make the best purchase decisions.

i have a black c6 with new chrome c7 zo6 wheels from RPI, so I went with the original smoke white lights to tie in the chrome wheels.

It is a definitely red, it is just so bright that my camera had a hard time processing it.
I don't like either. I prefer the look of the factory lights smoked. I did pay the $1500 for the headlights though.

I agree, but the clear looks GREAT on black cars, IMO. I'll bet it looks good on white cars, too...but white C6 Corvettes are fewer.
Are these the red lens unpainted or the red lens dark center ?

I would buy those but in germany the turnsignal has to be yellow and the Police would stop me if they where not. What should i do, are there other tail lights with yellow turnsignals wich do not look like trash like the stock ones?
I don't know if they make them in any other color besides smoked and red, I am sorry to say. The only thing I can think of is to get the smoked, and then crack it open and replace the red LEDs with yellow ones. That would take some work but would look REALLY good.

Vette-Lights changed their shopping cart process. The discount appears at checkout now, not in the cart. Thanks for the heads up on it not working fo the Morimoto tail lights. I don't know why the code isn't working for that particular item, it works with others. I will email them and let them know. You may want to do the same. It might be because they are on promotion or something.

My first answer is get the one you like more. :) But I think keeping a stock color is best in most cases.

keeping the C6 Z06 bone stock will retain its value, mods like this decrease value IMO...however, the chrome wheels gotta go - either powder coated black or dark grey would look great!!
I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it to have fun and make videos. :) I know some people do keep the investment value higher by staying stock.
Wheels? Yes. I agree 100%. I do not like chrome wheels on my cars. In fact...expect a new video this weekend about new wheels...and tires...and oh boy...is it ever going to drop a few jaws. :)
You know that "Mods like this" are completely reversible right? As long as he holds onto the original lights, would actually be superior in that respect! As it keeps the original lenses in better condition, sitting on the shelf or whatever, while these aftermarkets are getting weathered.

I have not had any issue at all. I am curious, what do you mean by "messing up other lights?"
When I press on the brake all interior lights come on, when I use turn signal they flash with the turn signal. I disconnected all 4 and car was back to normal. Alot of people have been having problems with them there is a write up on Corvette forum, supposedly the manufacturer knew there was a problem but they continued to fuel the demand. I ordered mine through vette lights and told cole about it. But the problem is they dont have any in stock and the next batch may arrive at the end of may and people are in line waiting. Wtf also I didn't even have an hrs use with them I have an 07 z51

Not to challenge your opinion, but I am curious as to why? I only ask to hear an alternative point of view. I like the Morimoto style because to me it is cleaner and more on the side of an OEM look. Just curious is all.
Hey - so I watched this video back. After looking at them illuminated, i think it’s because they are not a solid tube of light. It seems like you can see every little LED which gives the round light a pixelated look. I think you said it looks solid but it’s definitely not showing on the video. Hope that makes sense . With the eagle eyes, each bulb is evenly and equally lit although I’d love to know your opinion if you check mine out. How are the oracle Led side markers holding up? I love that video of the install but they’re so damn expensive and if I go with dark smoke then I’ll need to darken my eagle eyes. Gotta go with dark look all the way around
Imo I still think the eagle eyes are the best aftermarket you can get , the lens looks factory, the morimoto's look like afterburners lol so 👎on the morimoto tails.
A lot of people suggest the Eagle Eyes, but I don't like the "dotted" look of the LED lights. I can see how the Morimotos look like afterburners, but I like them. Maybe even a bit more than I had expected after trying the "smoke" version.
Looks cheap and the C7 wannabee fronts blink too fast. The OEM look the best dont mess with perfection.
I was afraid they would look cheap but in person they look like what the factory should have done. The quality is light years beyond the "Eagle Eyes" and don't look near as cheap. I didn't do the C7 style headlights for the same reason you mentioned...I didn't like the wannabe look.
