BGP Soft and Hard reset

Hard reset kills all the TCP session and reset the BGP neighbor relationship
Soft reset will request for a new update from the BGP neighbor

if there are existing sessions going on with BGP will they have a connection drop if we do the soft reset? in what cases we would require hard reset?

Hard reset will kill the entire TCP session and will take some time to come up

and also if we are doing during production hours better to do a soft reset and if we are performing any change non production hours hard reset also fine
