Cisco ASA_Traffic from DMZ to Inside using Object Group
zhlédnutí 5Před dnem
Traffic is allowed from Higher Security Level (Inside) to Lower Security Level (DMZ) Let's understand how to allow the traffic from DMZ to Inside using Object-Group
Cisco ASA Firewall_Access List Configuration
zhlédnutí 13Před 14 dny
Traffic always flow from Higher to Lower security levels. For example from Inside (100) to Outside (0). So access-list needs to be configured explicitly to allow from outside to inside.

Troubleshooting Weight
zhlédnutí 22Před měsícem
Weight is the first BGP attribute which is Cisco Proprietary. Highest Weight is Preferred . Which is used to influence the Outbound traffic. Lets Troubleshoot Weight Attribute
Troubleshooting ASPATH Prepend
zhlédnutí 40Před 2 měsíci
ASPATH Prepend is used to prefer inbound path. To make path less preferable , we can prepend its own AS number as BGP router prefers the shortest as-path
Troubleshooting Local Preference
zhlédnutí 56Před 2 měsíci
Local Preference is used to prefer Outbound Traffic. Highest Local Preference is preferred. Default Local Preference is 100.
Troubleshooting MED

hello sir i would like to ask question related to this topic my router and desktop is connected through lan cable and in my router 802.1p qos value is set 7 by me and in windows GPEDIT POLICY my DSCP value is set 46 for online gaming application so is this good marking done by me ?. my main goal to achieve is low latency in gaming
yeah looks good , as EF provides low loss, latency, and jitter
is 802.1p also good its on high ? and sir there is more folder in side gpedit qos policy called confim packets and non confirm packets is this there is 5 service type is this folder important for low lag and less packet burst ? layers 2 value in gpedit all value set to 7 is this value for gaming ?
it would be nice to mention what are disadvantages of this setting, for example MAC address flapping observed in logs, as MAC ageing will not take place with this fast change.
Thanks, we learn a lot from you Bhai 🙏🙏
Sure thanks .Happy Learning...
Thanks bro. Needed this for work
Sure thanks. Happy Learning
Hi , can you share the PPT ?
Sure will check and share
nice explanation

Thanks for the great work Bhai..

Great thanks sir❤
Sure thanks
Sir AWS networking course needed
Yeah sure .I am learning AWS networking and will launch videos in AWS Networking after some time
Sir, I’m confused about one point. When applying a route-map, why did you do #route-map MED permit 10 #set Metric 100 and no #match ip address command and no ACL either? Setting the route-map without an ACL, and without a matching command, what would be the result be?
Route map with metric statement is for influencing inbound traffic and default MED value is 0. Setting metric higher than MED value=0 will give less preference to that traffic----MED for inbound traffic and lowest MED is preferred . if im not setting the metric default MED 0 applies
Thank you so much sir! BGP MED is something that doesn’t get much attention!
Sure Happy Learning .Focus more into BGP attributes as it will be beneficial from future and interview purposes
nice bro
Thanks my friend. Happy Learning
What books did you use / resources you used to learn this material? Do you have your own course / telegram where you teach people? Also thanks for the videos keep them going! Thanks!

@@selvajegannetworkingchanne3222 Please cover these topic. 1. Route redistribution in bgp. 2. BGP Traffic inbound/Outbound policy.

Would vrrp increase overhead for primary switch
i don't think so and we have not experienced any issues using VRRP
Is this cisco switch? Would the basic concept apply to Aruba switch?
This is Cisco . Concept remains the same for Juniper and Fortigate also . Should be the same for Aruba and i have not worked on Aruba Switch
Explanation is good. But my next question is - How many times did Selvajegan speak word 'so' in this video? 🤔
Sure thanks my friend 😊
if loss bpdu from switch B , how will get loop, please let me know
If a loss of BPDU detected on non designated /blocking port , this port can move into forwarding state and can cause a loop
Thank you so much for reply and ans sir, what reason sudden loss of BPDU from switch B
@@msviswanathan8685 yeah it can be due to misconfiguration , link failure ,any port errors. hope that clears
@@selvajegannetworkingchanne3222 thank you so much sir
Hi Selva, Your videos are so helpful. Thanks. Glad that you are on udemy, 😅 I have a problem in my topology, kindly let me know if you have any ideas to debug. Issue description: Connectivity issue with clients and VRRP Peer after upgrading from older firmware to new firmware. Two core routers are available. Core-1 as master core-2 switch as backup. This is configured as a VRRP peer. Problem is that, clients were not able to reach VRRP peer after upgrading to a specific firmware. In the switch, cr-1 and cr-2, mac and arp learning is happening successfully and after clearing arp, it-was able to re learn the mac addresses properly. Facing duplicate address issues on many vlan addresses. Didn’t see same addresses configured on master and backup router. Workaround to restore the clients connectivity to vrrp peer is : 1. Flapping the respective ve ,interface clients connects to. 2. Downgrade back to working version. Any idea how to debug this issue ? Please let me know, if you are on discord.
Sure Thanks for the comments .yeah since after upgrade you are facing the issue . You can downgrade to working version try once and if possible raise a Cisco TAC Case for support
@@selvajegannetworkingchanne3222 thanks for the reply selva. I am working on this and this is a customer issue from ruckus, we couldn’t reproduce this locally or in TaC environment. So figuring out what’s the problem. Let me knwo, if you have any points to lookout for.

it is not mandatory to configure loopback address. Is it?
yeah, you are right, and it depends upon the requirement. . A loopback is a good choice since the loopback interface is always up unless someone specifically shuts it down.
@@selvajegannetworkingchanne3222 actually the preference order is router Id, Loop back address and then ip address
please make one similar lab for ospf
Yeah, sure my friend, it's on the way.

Great explanation and hands-on. However, i do not want to advertise certain prefixes. how can I get this done.
Thanks my friend . you can filter prefixes using prefix filtering in BGP "ip prefix-list listname seq 10 permit address ge 24" router bgp asnumber neighbor neighbor address prefix-list listname in
Thank you very much
