Myrtle Beach, went for spring break in 2000 and was almost murdered twice, on vacation. Had my hotel door pulled off the wall by black gang members and they took everything. Owner then ask me to fix it. Then he took the security deposit. No clothes left I spent the week living in my car. Was also robbed by a homeless dude 3rd night. It’s the worst beach town I’ve ever been to.!
The hatred in North Carolina isn't for real Floridians, it's for the 'half-backs' to moved to Florida from the Northeast but couldn't cut it so they moved halfway back north and ended up in the Carolinas. I wouldn't recommend NC. It is getting bad with crowding and traffic and with a lot of the same blight (culture) that ruined Florida.

Texas is where it's at right now!! I like league City tx but a lot of traffic... The woodlands was nice and had people in Conroe Tx... kinda nice.. had a pretty lake.. my auto insurance is about as much as my damn car payment. 300 for insurance 220 for car payment 5000 for home insurance 4000 for flood insurance a year for a meager 2 bedroom 2 bath. its so expensive you cant even goo out on a weekend if you want to take a nice trip like i used to. the middle class in florida is gone! your either poor have been pulled down into the poor because prices if your not making over 100k your in for a rough time. its never been this bad. alot of miamians moved to N.C. when we get tired of palms and sun im rather fond of winston salem.

Texas is good but it’s expensive like he mentioned San Antonio is cheaper but it’s hot but really only 10* hotter than Florida Corpus Christi is on the coast 2 hours away but you could literally drive an hour in to this hill country like Fredericksburg it will be almost 10* cooler. Yes most of the jobs might be in Austin in this part of Texas. On your grocery shopping you’re stuck with HEB and Walmart at both San Antonio and Corpus Christi. For the DFW area I would recommend Fort Worth or its suburbs like Keller or Mansfield if you want brand new or far west side is building now older places the mid cities Hurst Euless Bedford and North Richland Hills it’s more laid back honestly less issues not 100% safe by no means but better than Dallas you got the Fort Worth Stockyards. DFW is has good veriety and and just getting HEBs on groceries.
Everybody ran from NY to Florida when they retired, I stayed here when I retired, I'm doing just fine. Enjoying the 4 seasons and not having to shovel the snow so I can get to work😂

The Rio Grande Valley is a very good place for Hispanic/Latino Americans to relocate and or retire to. As Jose stated, many other ethnic groups such as some Anglo-Americans may not feel comfortable since the area is majority Hispanic.

I live in Bentonville, feels pretty good out here, I feel safe with my family and not a huge amount of traffic. Can get a little boring if you’re not an outdoor person, in my case I love going for bike rides on their fun tracks. People are nice and respectful. One down thing for me is the airport, they have very expensive direct flights and also expensive long connection flights. People are super cool but when walking on a Walmart you can tell how many weird people live there too. It’s super business driven over here, I’m not a business person but I can blend in. The restaurants are getting better and better, but still super chain heavy as any small town.
I haven’t been convinced to move out of Florida yet. I moved for the warmer temps and sadly there’s no other place in the continental United States that offers year round warmer climate like Florida. In these videos I’m seeing a lot of grey skies, skeletons for trees and that’s why I can’t see myself moving up north.
Jose thank you for sharing your thoughts in this video, it was very entertaining to watch as always! But sadly as someone who was born and raised in Wilmington NC his entire life and after hearing what you said about regionalism, prejudice, and racism as well as general hostility and bigotry towards outsiders our town is a cesspool of that mentality from the native born and raised inbreds that live here as well as the transplants that move here from other regions in the country---it's like a big culture civil war. Not to mention but my town went viral on the news back in 2020 during the middle of the BLM protests where our police department was exposed for leaked information on cops making explicit racist comments insinuating satisfaction at the possibility of a racial civil war which our media tried their hardest to cover up with PR stunts due to police business and body cam footage not being public domain in the state unlike in other states around the country. I will admit that my town does have quite a bit to offer from the outside perspective (i.e. the beaches, the downtown area, UNCW, the retirement golf communities, the boatload of restaurants, supermarkets, and car washed, etc.) but I seriously recommend people to do their research before just seeing that it is a growing Southern suburban type city that has Screen Gem Studios (arguably one of if not the biggest film studios on the east coast). Also what you said about Myrtle Beach really does apply here too, it's just the tourism here is on the lighter side like a "diet" Myrtle Beach. Believe me and I am not just saying this to be a contrarian or come across as biased or negative but me and my family (who are from New Jersey originally) have never been welcome here for the past literal 25 years we have lived here, Southern Hospitality is non-existent in this town, again both from the natives and the transplants (especially in the suburb of Castle Hayne where the poverty and crime is ridiculously through the roof and road rage is basically a daily occurrence); but if people are still attracted to living here then by all means go for it but be warned you will be shocked. I would move before anyone comments, "if you hate it there so much, then why don't you move?" keep in mind that I am somebody who would love to do so but I live in a situation currently where something like that is just not possible due to our corrupt system and am unfortunately a prisoner here looking for another state to desperately escape too.
I live in Scotland now. Met a truck driver from Miami yesterday but he wants to return to the US. Understood his reasons but I have no intention of ever returning to Fort Lauderdale Florida. Jose thank you for sharing your thoughts in this video, it was very entertaining to watch as always! But sadly as someone who was born and raised in Wilmington NC his entire life and after hearing what you said about regionalism, prejudice, and racism as well as general hostility and bigotry towards outsiders our town is a cesspool of that mentality from the native born and raised inbreds that live here as well as the transplants that move here from other regions in the country---it's like a big culture civil war. Not to mention but my town went viral on the news back in 2020 during the middle of the BLM protests where our police department was exposed for leaked information on cops making explicit racist comments insinuating satisfaction at the possibility of a racial civil war which our media tried their hardest to cover up with PR stunts due to police business and body cam footage not being public domain in the state unlike in other states around the country. I will admit that my town does have quite a bit to offer from the outside perspective (i.e. the beaches, the downtown area, UNCW, the retirement golf communities, the boatload of restaurants, supermarkets, and car washed, etc.) but I seriously recommend people to do their research before just seeing that it is a growing Southern suburban type city that has Screen Gem Studios (arguably one of if not the biggest film studios on the east coast). Also what you said about Myrtle Beach really does apply here too, it's just the tourism here is on the lighter side like a "diet" Myrtle Beach. Believe me and I am not just saying this to be a contrarian or come across as biased or negative but me and my family (who are from New Jersey originally) have never been welcome here for the past literal 25 years we have lived here, Southern Hospitality is non-existent in this town, again both from the natives and the transplants (especially in the suburb of Castle Hayne where the poverty and crime is ridiculously through the roof and road rage is basically a daily occurrence); but if people are still attracted to living here then by all means go for it but be warned you will be shocked. I would move before anyone comments, "if you hate it there so much, then why don't you move?" keep in mind that I am somebody who would love to do so but I live in a situation currently where something like that is just not possible due to our corrupt system and am unfortunately a prisoner here looking for another state to desperately escape too.
I live in Scotland now. Met a truck driver from Miami yesterday but he wants to return to the US. Understood his reasons but I have no intention of ever returning to Fort Lauderdale Florida.
