- 1997 Flint Air Jordan 13's brought back to life by Vick Almighty. 97 was a good year Jordan won his fifth ring, Clinton was President, Jay-Z released In My Lifetime, Vol. 1, and the world was given Kylie Jenner. What a time to be alive. What is not good is the condition of these 97 Flint 13's. These shoes were toast. It's nothing to be expected with a 21 year old shoe, sorry Vick. The Air Jordan 13 is one of the last shoes, most collectors consider, to be Jordan's "good retros". MJ wore the 13's to defeat the Malone, Karl not Post, and the Jazz in six games to close out the series. To bring these Flints back to their former glory Vick used our 4oz-3 Brush Kit the clean the entire shoe. Yeah, & the fact that the Jumpman symbol is still on the insoles of the sneaker is ridiculous.
It helped me though because I messed up my suede I think on my playoff 13s. 21yrs and counting! My shoes can buy beer😂😂😂
My jumpman logo in the insole is still perfect on my OG cherry 13’s .. the suede is still smooth even though it bled thru the shoes

I've found white paint with 50% water works well for the first few coats followed by coats with maybe 30% water.
Ive copped the flints everytime since this first pair came out, favorite shoe of all time. Over the summe I picked em up at pretty much " The Great Train Robbery" price $130 for a size 9 at a consignment shop here in Philly called Common Ground around the block from one of the greatest sneaker stores in the world Lapstone and Hammer. Anyways great video homie. Im gonna get back into customizing and restoring this year. Awesome hobby to have.

For the hologram just use a blow dryer to clear up the oxidation
It's not oxidation bro, its moisture residue that fogs up the hologram. The hair dryer/heat gun evaporates the trapped moisture temporarily.

I still have my OG cherry 13’s but the sole is completely separated but I glued it back... the insole jumpman logo is still perfect up to this day... can’t really compare OG quality

I just did a restore on a pair of anthracite 9s and the nubuck had some fading on it. Try using angelus suede renew before using the mink oil spray. It brung the color back and I didn't have to use as much mink oil spray.
