AURORA said she was inspired by Germany’s techno scene to create this song. In the 90s, Berlin was known for its underground rave culture. AURORA also stated: “I’m a very big fan of The Prodigy and Underworld and Chemical Brothers. I think that kind of music is very cool.”
The song addresses the disconnection modern life imposes on humans.
The techno inspiration in the song contrasts with its theme. While rave music is typically associated with sweaty, closed and overcrowded places, the song is about a person starving for connection.
The video was directed by Kaveh Nabatian who also directed Your Blood, The conflict of the mind, Some type of skin😍

As a Detroiter, I very much appreciate her distinction between European techno, specifically German techno, and other types of techno. Detroit and Germany have had a techno rivalry since the 80's, and the distinction is very important to the people who really love techno, and rave culture. Trivial, compared to the message of the song, but it still makes me happy. 🫀🫀🫀

Great song and amazing, fitting and disturbing video. Very cool reaction too. I liked your comments. And she has deep lyrics almost always but some are easier to interpret like more straight forward and some needs more interpretation.

@@richardsinfinity Well, some reactors do one or two comments (even long ones) during the song, and are ok with the copyright. Some cover the same video with watermark, some do not, and it works. I don't know.
