The only question is why was he throwing those pitches in his first game back from the IL? Was he really not ready to return, so he was sent out there to throw at batters until he got tossed?
As an Orioles fan I can explain the Gausman ejection. So the game before Chris Sale got warned for throwing at Machado. Machado had been thrown at a few other times including once by Matt Barnes in the head. He was thrown at because he made a "dirty" slide in the last series between these teams. I don't think Gausman should've been ejected, but I understand it given the prior history.
Umps are the sole reason I don’t even watch baseball. Seems like an interesting sport but what is the point in getting familiar with it if the refs just seemingly blow every game.
the umps should only be allowed to eject only for a safety violation ie. thrown bat or broken bat, pitch thrown at head provided batter makes a substantial attempt to avoid and is still hit, etc. not for arguing calls
The Syndergaard/Collins ejections were one of my favorites. Everytime I watch this, I think "our a** is in the jackpot".
Haha. Talk to me Terry. Talk to me.
😂
Maybe Harper needs to grow up!
Nothing questionable about the John Lackey ejection

Every one of these was justified except for the Gausman one.

The officials in MLB appear to be "karens" with a chip on their shoulders.
Fans don’t pay good money to watch the umpires.
The rules are specific. If a batter tosses his equipment (helmet), he is to be ejected. No exceptions.

Nah, last one was no question intentional

all the more reason to bring in computers!
shut the hell up. why not get robots to play the game while we're at it?
Bunch of children…
overpaid crybabies
Who? The players or the umps? Because you can make an argument for both.
The whole lot.
