I'm from northeast US and I can tell you that it's not worth it. Don't get into it, just reading too much into it, getting involved, can lead to some bad things. Just reading certain books can be enough, and what comes with it can attach to you for years, if ever leaving at all.

No 2nd chances. No amount of praying for him will change whatever state he's in now. Jesus is real and he's coming back for people who have their complete trust in him. It was a hard pill to swallow and I had to realize that and cut out a lot of music. Once in a while I may listen to a few songs here there, but I make sure that they’re not some of these super satanic bands, but I don’t even really listen to music that much anymore because of all that crap. I was very distraught when I learned that those folks that were telling me that when I was a kid and a teenager knew what they were talking about. I couldn’t verify it as easily because they didn’t have the internet back then. I mean sure I could’ve gone to the library, but I would’ve had known exactly what I was looking for. I probably would’ve had to look for the books on the occult and rock band and stuff like that and I was too busy doing school stuff back then to do personal research. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I started being able to research this crap.

It's kind of funny because I think a lot of God's word came out through Rising and through that album, and when I bought that album and read the back cover, I thought the Baal he was talking about was the Canaanite deity (and for all I know it may well have been.) "Gates of Babylon" struck a particular chord because it described exactly, in poetic form, what the religion of Babylon really was, as my pastor had taught about it as the original false substitution for the worship of God after the Flood (and the Tower of Babel, which I'm sure figures prominently in "Stargazer.")
I always found it interesting that he didn’t technically believe in the teachings of the Bible because you can tell in his lyrics, especially with those albums, that he had a good knowledge of it

Demonic possession is simply the turning away from God and allowing evil into your life. Letting them in is a lot harder than casting them back out. No demon can possess a person against their will and love for God. If one is filled with the grace and power of the Lord, demons are powerless.

Lucifer isn't the name of any devil. That's a mistranslation and that passage of the Bible was referring to a Babylonian King who fell due to his hubris and pride, ie Tower of Babel.
There are many Satans in the Bible, as it merely a title for the Opposer of God. As for who is the chief Satan, The Deceiver, that is for actual scholars to discuss, as there are many candidates. Samael, Mastema and Ba'al are the most likely of the many Satans there have been.

baal is a very powerful king in hell. you can google about the goetia if you want, will find more information about him. he used to be worshipped in the past, and is mentioned in the bible many times. if summoned, he will always ask for devotion and adoration in return. he´s also known as the "lord of flies" due to the fact that flies will suddenly show up prior to his arrival.
And sadly he died of stomach cancer... I wonder if that demon was responsible?

Ronnie was actually Catholic and he wasn’t happy about the church. It’s in his lyrics. But Ronnie knew something else about modern religion and the church that I only recently discovered about a year ago. Look at the front cover of Holy Diver, then go read Ezekiel 34 about the “Shepards Of Israel” whom caused the “flock to scatter”. Read it carefully and you will see that the priest on the front cover of Holy Diver is getting what he deserves. God was against these “Shepards Of Israel”. Ronnie had made a comment about that album cover, that “things aren’t what they seem”. He was right.
Ronnie had the magic, that's for sure. As fast as it's given, it can be taken away. His lyrics certainly took a turn at a particular point.
I'd have pushed the greedy thing down the stairs too. Demons are powered by our own energy, that's how it works (or doesnt). They can never be independent of a human energy source.

Actually the traditional use of the sign is to ward of evil, in Buddhism for example its used to expel demons and in yoga its used to bring health and strength as well as clearing up indigestion. It was only later adapted by the metal and satanist music scene using it as a sign of the devil horns resulting in christian groups claiming it was used to curse people. Its true that Ronnie James Dio used it a lot but it was more of a trademark than any deeper spiritual meaning and he stopped using it because it lost all meaning when he saw fans of Britney Spears flashing the same sign.Another fun fact is that its also used as a sign to show your affiliation with the street gang Ms13.

In Ronnie James Dios case he used the Italian version of the thumb overlapping the middles and ring finger as is used to ward off malocchio (evil eye) however, when used in the complete manor that Dio often used, pointing it at someone and rotating the wrist, it is an offensive gesture implying chuckoldry. Fact is the gesture, like the Swastika, has multiple meanings and is now know more of a evil gesture compared to it's origins
