is safe to change the settings to "anywhere"? or this fix is temporary, and once you finalize your app download you should go back and restrict the settings to "only apple store" help please

I don't have a button for "anywhere". I am running OS10.12 on a 2,3 GHz Intel Core i5. I do have a message in the panel stating "Opening KompoZer was blocked because the App does not come from a verified developer" with a button labeled "Open Anyway". The Open Anyway button does not work. I still get the warning "KompoZer could not be opened because it came from an un verified developer."
