🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more

Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

NO WAY YOU DID BOURNEMOUTH!! I WENT THERE YESTERDAY!!
THANK YOU ROSS!!
Great video! And still loving your journey! Hope you enjoy that station!
Thanks Filip, it was a great station. The delays and cancellations made things a little complicated but it worked out! 👍🏻
@@StarlifeStudiosEither way you did an outstanding job. I love the videos
Thank you! 😃
Amazing video Ross, especially with the special workings showing up
I was on the HST for my first railtour, it was unforgettable
Excellent work
Thanks James 🙂
My hart skips a beat when I see a 43 arrive at any station
Awesome Vid Ross 🚂 😃
Nice catch of the HST! I like this pretty livery!
One of the best liveries a HST ever wore and certainly a global image. Thanks for watching 😃
Fantastic video as always Ross! Great to see the HST and 50s! 👍👍👍
Great video.
That HST was at around 17:00 GMT
I was there during the Bournemouth Belle tour so I almost saw you
Yep! Arrived at 1728, hope you enjoyed your trip 😃
Great catches that rhtt one looks funky
I'm not a huge fan of MPVs but I suppose its doing its job and its better than nothing!
@@StarlifeStudios ye it is better than just seeing 444’s

That intercity hst looks so good
Have you seen the new South Western Railway Class 701 Arterios in service. Perhaps you should do a video on these new trains. I have been to Bournemouth before and it’s a nice station.
Outstanding video Ross! What camera do use? it is very good!
I use a Panasonic HC-VX1. Thanks 😃
Nice video
Thanks! 😃
Lovely Class 43 Charter!
Indeed it is! 😃
Great video im late cause i had football
I have been to Bournemouth. I saw one of the last intercity crosscountry's trains there. I think the intercity livery is one. The one that went past sheffield.
6:20-9:11 nice catch on rail tour
Thank you! Bournemouth tends to be a lot of same (e.g. 444s and 450s) but it was nice to catch a rare HST trip south here! 😃
its a shame they got retired, i know they are very old and not the most reliable but crosscountry needed the stock. i was very fortunate to ride on 43007+184 when i stayed in exeter a couple weeks prior & see the farewell tour at st denys with my friends. keep up the great content!
At about the 17.22 mark, there's a SouthWest EMU sandwiched between a pair of 50's. Is the EMU number 458423 correct, or has there been a renumbering somewhere I've missed??
Hi Nick, Alstom in Widnes is currently working on rebuilding the class 458s back from 5 coaches to 4 coaches, a repaint and re-gearing them up to 100MPH. Ironically, this removed the extra coach added in 2013 and renumbers them into the 458/4 series. In this example; 458423 used to be 458523 before refurbishment. Hope this helps 👍🏻
Am i right in saying that this is the first time an HST set foot on The Swanage Railway Ross? Whatever the case may be this is an absolutely fantastic clip. Especially with 50007 Hercules and 50049 Defiance at the end.
I believe an EMT HST made the trip down in 2014 (one of the HSTs had South West Trains branding!) but its still rare enough to be special. I suspect this is the last TOC HST tour to reach Swanage. I'm glad I got the 50s as this was actually the second SWR stock movement I caught on this day (the other is coming up soon!) although in hindsight I wish I had stayed on the other platform. Thanks for watching though! 😃
Mate, take it from someone who works at the depot in the car park; I scream when a 159 passes through. (and the 455s coming from Branksome!) Happens maybe once a day, great stuff.
Edit: I also managed to see the HST but as it was going through Poole crossing.
The 444s and 450s are quite uncommon and if it wasnt for the HST and 50s, I doubt this would have been high on that list. I actually parked in that car park next to the tamper so I know exactly what you mean! 😃
Can you do trainspotting at Winchester please?
Hello, I have not yet filmed at Winchester but I will certainly look into it 😃
Thank you! That’s my home town!
Notice they say carriages at Bournemouth..and not coaches.
Hey I got a question how do you get the money? To like to go to this places nearly every sunday?
Good question - So despite what you see on the channel, I actually work full-time so money is not really too much of an issue, but, time is! I usually batch film when travelling, as an example; This video has a partner video which I did on the same day so I can fully make use of my time. Hope this helps.
@@StarlifeStudios thanks for answering
That's a very American-sounding announcement at 2:17...
Can i see simontrains at 9:25
Yes! Be sure to let him know hes in my video! 😃
