🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more

Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.
🚄 ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, I’m StarlifeStudios and my passion is to experience and video railway stations across the United Kingdom at both small and large locations, but, with an informative twist! My videos are also designed as a historical reference for the days of the past and to reminisce about the way things were. U guys inspired me to go train spotting and start my second channel for just trains and aviation ❤
Amazing video as always👍
Great video I do enjoy watching trains especially in Scotland
Great video Ross. Thanks for sharing and have a good weekend
Thanks for the kind words Arnold! Have a great weekend too. 👍🏻🙂
Amazing video as always! Loved the test train the HSTs are great. Although not to sure about the 380 they look a bit funny 😅. Also a have a question, would you ever trainspot at MHR because it’s my local station and it’s not got much good trains there’s the occasional charter or test! We also get the hull 80x s pass through
Edit: Everyone we need to get Starlife to 15k!!!
Test Trains with MK2s and Powercars look strange and even more so with MK1s! I would definately consider Market Harborough but its on a strange section of line which rarely sees much freight and only passenger 222s. I had planned to pick this and Corby when the new Aurora 810s begin testing but that may not happen as planned now. As you mentioned Hull Trains, it is also certainly something I will look out for. Thank you.
My home town I certainly did not think you would ever get 15 minutes worth of content here
A station I have been to many times which has changed very little in the last 10 years. I'm glad I came to your home town! 😃
Very nice! I recently visited Cardiff
Great video!
Great vid 👍👍👍👍👍
Lovely 156s & 380s at AYR!
Question: Are you ever doing Stations on The West Of England Line?
Great Video ross! I love your videos its just soo cool you meet cool trains!
Ayr doesn’t get much overall variety but it was nice to see a Colas Test Train here to mix it up a bit 😃
Happy new year
Really good 🎉
Legend!
What application do you use to edit these vidoes? Looks great!
Yay 2024 starts with a scottish video :D Lovely stuff mate
Thanks DP, Theres a few more from north of the border still to come too 👍
Happy new year @starlife studios rail videos, love your content! May you do Inverness next? Thanks
Happy New Year! I can confirm Inverness has been recorded and is coming soon.
Yassss!im looking very forward to itttt!@@StarlifeStudios
Will you be doing Barrhead and East Kilbride with the Class 380 Desiro to operate to Barrhead to East Kilbride. Never been to Ayr before. Also I do wish that the electrification would have continued to Stranraer that would allow the Class 380s to continue to Stranraer.
Nice colas Hst
Don't know if you aware but the disused station hotel (the one shrouded in plastic) suffered a serious fire since your visit. It was thought at the time it would have to be demolished but it is now deemed salvable.
I did read about the fire although I haven't followed it recently. The entire building with its white covering is quite an eye-sore and the station concourse is partly closed since it uses the ground floor of the hotel. Thanks for watching David.
Yes, a bit of the old hotel fell off in 2018(?) and the station booking hall had to be closed as a precaution. If that was a 'temporary' measure then the recent fire has made it even less temporary... @@StarlifeStudios
Nice video. I like Scotland.
U didnt even watch iet yet it came out a min ago
Seriously going to miss the good old 43’s 😢
Questions 🥩
nice vid can i ask what camera do you use?
I use a Panasonic HC-VX1. Thanks 😃
Nice Video Ross!
Question: are you going to do Yeovil Junction?
Yeovil Junction is a station that doesn't have good variety because you only get 159s operating between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids
I will consider Yeovil junction, although as said above, will have to find a way of making it a little more interesting. I’m sure I can find one 😉
@@StarlifeStudios maybe it'll be better when you do Yeovil Junction when diverts are happening!
Ross! There’s a Divert on the 11th. An HST!
Enjoy the scottish rail vids
Did you see a Network Rail HST?
Can you do Kilmarnock next?
Can you do chatham its my home station pls
Dumbarton 😊
Can you do Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch soon?
I heard that on British railways about this name ...
