I was holding on to the front row fence for five hours. Super worth it. The energy was crazy. Sure, at some point Macklemore sounded like a preacher than a singer. But when the songs played, everyone was singing and dancing. 10/10 would wait under the sun for his concert again.

In 2011(?) my friend gave me an artist pass for outside lands because she worked with one of the bands. Macklemore was just barely getting known nationally but I knew him from time in Seattle. He opened the main stage one day at the festival. I watched the whole thing standing on side stage. If I had to guess, I would say there were 500-1000 (aka the field was 97% empty) people in the crowd. The amount of energy, combined with his charisma, made it a memorable show for everyone. Was an amazing thing to witness. I have seen him a couple more times as he has gotten bigger. I am biased but I think he is one of the best live shows of this generation across all genres of music. I hope his legendary career has many chapters to come.
