Shaq not knowing who Macklemore was is still funny af 💀
Man I still don’t 😂
@@NoLifeShaq u aint the only one i thought he was a stripper
@@_Spider4😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@_Spider4bro 😂😂💀
I think we all have that artist we're like "they did this song too???"
Macklemore was having a great career until the grammys killed it. Glad he doing better
Facts, these award shows been been trash ever since
Wasnt the Grammys... it was the "personal" texts he sent and then posted online
@@primoguerrero7928 that doesn't ruin a career. People felt some type of way cause mack won over Kendrick. All the rap fans blamed mack and that sent his career down hill. Can't blame mack for trying to save his own career and do damage control
@Yulds2x clearly you don’t. You ain’t even got videos uploaded.
@@primoguerrero7928 they weren’t even bad
Fun fact about Ben is that for The Heist album, he collaborated with all local Seattle artists. The Heist is also an independently self-produced and self-released debut album with no major mainstream promo. Also, he’s going on tour and his concert is one of the best I’ve been to, especially when he walks on the crowd
who the fuck is Ben?
That's dope
Agreed…I’ve seen well over 200+ artists in concert and he is so incredibly fun LIVE in concert. Great shows!
we aint reading all that
“What was the last one? I think it was ice ice baby” 😂😂😂 bro Shaq got me cryin😂
knew sumone else picked up on dis
Well I mean their both white people, not the same people... eh close enough lol.
@@shadowswithin702 Can't blame Mr. T there for thinking all white people look the same XD /s
@@JackXombi Yea fair lol
Cut
Can’t hold us will never get old🔥
FACTS.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😎😎😎😎😎
Correct.
Macklemore - Glorious is a must watch if you wanna hear a good song from dude
My Song “BAMP” will blow up someday trust me 🤞
Factsss
Glorious, Arrows, wing$, white walls
YES! It's the best video also. Shaq will love it! 😂
You absolutely have to do "wings". Epic video with a deep message that was played everywhere even now especially around nba finals
Yes!!
Ong!!
i hope he does. That is a classic. Absolutely beautiful song.
He played part of wings yesterday live in Birmingham it was amazing! Great night 🔥
Yea that's a great song, deep message.
Macklemore can rap. Can be corny too but, he can rap, The Heist is an extremely well done album and deserved it’s achievements.
This unruly mess I’ve made is underrated af too
People sleep hard on Macklemore. That whole album is a masterpiece. Also, Ben Haggerty is his real name. 😅
Think just because their first album was so popular people don't give him a chance in the rap community. But he has skills and all you have to do is listen =/
Honestly, The Heist is something special fr
Macklemore is a Legend 🐐 When he cover Otherside from RHCP.Its a wrap 🤘🤘🤘
He from Ireland
@@korianderkeule3169 Nope. From Seattle. He is of Irish decent however.
Gotta respect mack cuz he mostly does unsigned artist as his features
This song specifically came out way before he was famous enough to secure any features. He blew up and his already released songs blew tf up. When he dropped Ryan Lewis (the goat) and started chasing those big name features, his music sucked
@@ClossyGaming not really cuz his album without Ryan had a few unsigned artist on it
Facts💯
So two things... I live in Seattle, and in 2012, my ex and I were in Macklemores video for Same Love. I also worked on that video, and I was on it the same day Thrift Shop hit a million views on YT. Imagine that. THAT was a huge milestone for them at the time. This was like 3 months before the music video for Can't Hold Us dropped. The song itself was already a local hit for a while. Also, at the time Macklemore, his fiance Tricia and Ryan Lewis did EVERYTHING. They relied on no one for anything, out side of the label that was paid to push Thrift Shop on the radio.
Mac’s album and productions was crazy. He deserved the grammy
it was a good ass year tbf. But Mack did have my fav album. Ye did too tbh.
the happiness on shaqs face when the chorus comes in is everythaaang
“These days” is my most favourite song not just by Macklemore but in general would make my month is Shaq reacted to it it cheered me up when my gf left now painful memories through that period are happy. Music is a universal language it has a power nobody on Earth can come close to.
This entire album (including the three bonus tracks from the deluxe edition) is so damn good. I understand why it was chosen for Best Rap Album in 2012. Good Kid Maad City is an absolute masterpiece, one of music's best, but The Heist really seemed to capture the musical culture of 2012.
"This is the moment sum sum sum sum" Got me on one kneee🤣🤣🤣
Otherside - Macklemore. His best lyrical song IMO
100% agree
Amazing cover from RHCP They were proud Macks a Legend 🐐🐐🐐
I also 100% agree
we NEED this shaq!!
I gotta say this song was my childhood!! My fav song of his! 🔥 🔥
My Song “BAMP” will blow up someday trust me 🤞
Lol kids
Bro only got two good songs makes sense
Childhood? U must be young
@@BestInTheWorld13xwell duh
shaq you gotta listen to more of his music. Glorious, Same Love, White Walls, These Days, Downtown. All timeless classics
Marmalade is also fire
Factsss
Kevin is a great song
After years and years, every time I hear that chorus, I get goose bumps! One of the best hooks ever
Mannn you aren't alone...it's also sounds very spiritual and very invoking.
@@weiSane Oh 100%! Its inspiring too! When I am alone singing this song, I sound just like Ray Dalton HAHA
This a classic
Keep the Macklemore reactions coming please! His music is GREAT! Otherside Remix, Starting Over, Neon Cathedral, Drug Dealer. All extremely dope tracks about addiction.
yes bro other side remix is so good
So glad you reacted this song. Would love to see you react to “Downtown” by Macklemore. That’s my favorite song by him. Song brings back a lot of memories and good times for me. Keep doing you coach. Can’t wait to see you in your grandaddy’s clothes
YES!!!!!!!!!
Definitely Downtown!
Fun fact he actually really did him and Ryan produce the entire album on Chrome music and every video in Seattle cuz that's where he is from and like that boat that they're on literally like drove through Seattle and all of his videos are in Seattle and they produced this whole thing on Chrome music pretty sad what happened to him because he is an amazing artist and so is Ryan this is a classic album I saw Macklemore in concert
Another fire banger I had on my playlist since the release can't go wrong with the message the music video so much inspiration motivation can't knock mack for what he is capable of doing
Glorious and Good old days are also Macklemore classics that you might recognize
Definitely want you to check out “otherside” by Macklemore (original w/red hot Chili peppers sample). It’s easily his best and most personal song
bro yes literally so good
Seattle represent! Macklemore is dope. And yes, he writes his music. Ben Haggardy or something close to that is his name. The Heist was by far his best work, but his other albums are still worth a listen.
What if Shaq accidentally bring back macklemore to the top😂😂😂
Love your content shaq, keep it up! ❤
Nostalgia hit hard listening to this.. This was my VH1 jam back then.
You gotta listen to his other songs like Glorious, Down town, these days and a few more. These are some great songs too.
Cant wait for nostalgia to hit again when you check out those.
great song ! honestly i'm far from being a rap fan, but i really enjoy a lot of his songs. somehow the mix of genre really hits the spot for me, and compared to the regular themes of other rap songs, his are often upbeat and carry a positive message, another exemple being Glorious
Oh hell. Mac about to get a whole comeback tour revival off Shaq.
Macklemore has tracks that are pure gold and never hit the charts. The new album “Ben” is on repeat for me and I listen to the deep songs like “Tears” where he spits about his fight with alcoholism.
SHAQ!!!!!!! I'm so thrilled you're covering, the Man the Myth the Legend, Macklemore, and the Wizard Ryan Lewis! So much love from these 2.
The whole album is Fire.
Wings by Macklemore is a really great song. Impactful asf
Seeing him do this song live. 10 feet in front of me was freaking amazing. For the bridge he got up on the hands of the crowd and we all got around him and fist pumped for it. 3000 people collapsed around him so fast it was simply amazing. Ben is just so good at what he does.
Dude this song still gives me goosebumps
Bruh this was my favourite song back when it was out , used to sing it every day , and still listen to to this day
just one of the greatest songs of all time
The joy on his face when he recognized the song 😂
To one of the best reviewers on CZcams bro, you go the extra mile. He was a step up from Vanilla Ice but at least he put it on there he didn't write it. Still one of the best songs.
I remember tailgating for Hawks games .. This song could always be heard and when it did. Everybody was bouncing and cheering. Seattle. Good times living there
I was like ain't no way Shaq never heard this song in its entirety, then he confused Thrift Shop to Ice Ice Baby 🤣🤣🤣 oh, I believe you now 🤦🏽♂️ dats tuff 🤣🤣🤣
I mean he older than most of us he should know the song 🤣😭😭I was 8 when the song first dropped
“Same Love” is the third single. I’d go with that reaction next. The album is full of good songs. It’s a Saturday afternoon album. Just let it play from beginning to end with the sun shining and some room to hop around.
White Walls with Schoolboy Q is absolute fire
@@Nelly34e yea. Video was fun too. I always like Jimmy Iovine too…
If you want your mind blown check out Pentatonix covering this song all acapella no instruments and it's AMAZING!
Love the reaction. Keep grinding Shaq💪🏾
"Labels out here now they can't tell me nothin'" What is impressive is he released this album and all the bangers without ever signing to a major record label. Look into his history, he self produced this album.
Also, Starting Over is the best track on the album
please more macklemore reactions 😂 loving it
Macklemore had an amazing run🤞🏼🔥, he was really talking in his music.
Old is gold ❤️ one of my favourite artists
Never get old this one damnnnn
AHH! NOSTALGIA☺️☺️
I still get goosebumps listening to this song-
We NEED more Macklemore reactions!!!!!!!!!!!
the live concert video was godly
“Like the ceiling can’t hold us” this song brings back memories 😭
I always used to hear 'like the ceiling can holders' 😅
Otherside - Macklemore. This was the song that introduced many to Macklemore before The Heist, personally still my favorite song from him.
Love watching someone have music they've heard before but don't know by name, all of a sudden realize who they are listening to.
Macklemore dropped an album recently which was great and Gemini is also a fantastic album by him
This song was the $#!T man....at my friends wedding they played this on loop for like 15 minutes straight while the bartenders poured shots straight in our mouths...was hella drunk but will NEVER forget this song...lol
This was my all time frvt song of all time hands down am glad u reacted to it homy way up
Shaq pumpin this content out Makin sure he stay on top fr
Yall should check out the Pentatonix cover for this song. It go craaaaaaazy
damn this song is so nostalgic
Was blasting this song last night on the walk home.
If I am having a bad migraine day I just need to watch one of your reactions and I am smiling. I suffer from intractable migraine meaning i am 24/7 your facial expressions just make it when you suddenly realise what you are listening to
To me, Macklemore is some damn good "feel good rap" and is fairly versatile
It’s crazy because Macklemore was such a big part of my childhood, I remember in the summer of 2013 listening to Cant Hold Us and Thrift Shop all day every day
Same crazy best times it was to be alive 🥲❤️
I love seeing these videos through Shaq's eyes ❤
Will never get old
you should definitely listen to wings by macklemore, in my opinion the best song he has ever made!
The ammount of times i had to perform this song as a band kid..... I could still probably go from memory and that was 10 years ago
I'm an English dude and was playing this in China in 2013 with my students. Shaq knew who this was.
production beyond sanity real MASTERPIECE
Early 2010s was a great time to be alone for music
Can’t Hold Us song will always be a part of my heart my whole life ❤
This song will always be hype asf
Glorious must be your next watch. It’s an Incredible video!
That hook got licensed to damn near every TV commercial for the next 5 years.
Macklemore did write it, he's "Ben Haggerty."
Never seen shaq so happy and excited during a reaction, his energy got me smiling too bro 😂
"between this and the last one, was it ice ice baby? gotta be ice ice baby." 🤣im laughin my ahh off man stop playin
Objectively, this song is FIRE! 🔥
Bro is an actual entertainer/artist and doesn't claim to be anything but...I honestly never understood the hate he got/gets. He's not someone that I'd regularly listen to but he has his thing going for sure.
The one off The Heist that really left me floored was "Jimmy Iovine"!
We better see that picture. CANNOT WAIT hahah
This song playing at the 7th inning stretch at every Ms game for like 2 or 3 seasons.. hype!!
keep watching this your reaction is gold
I haven’t heard this song in YEARS.. This was everywhere in 2013.
Shaq HAS to give the whole album a listen, there’s a reason it’s so good
GLORIOUS!!
That whole album was 🔥🔥
I used to love this song so much yoh. Every time it played on TV I stopped everything
Corner Store and Growing Up are another two absolute bangers
The production in this song is ridiculous. Might be one of the dopest instrumentals ever.
I quite literally grew up on this song, since I was five now I sing it word for word bar for bar
Love the video NLG family stay motivated Dream big 4 mill on the way let's get it dats Tuff 🔥
Awwwww ish! I play the trumpet 🎺
First chair my entire time in school 💯
“808 in my heartbeat” is one of those subtle bars that goes unnoticed.
Gotta check out Macklemore " I can't change ". I bet you've heard the hook on that one as well. Another anthem with a powerful message
