My mom and dad had a hand in the startup of the New England Sire Stakes 'way back in the 60's, and we always had a homebred or two that was raced in Maine and the rest of New England. I can just barely remember Loring Norton himself.
Thoughts and prayers for Maine racing (and by racing, I mean trotting) now that Scarborough is gone. 😕

too bad harness racing was and still is so crooked...hastened its demise!
