Horse drowns after competing in harness race at MGM Northfield Park

That is perhaps one of the most irresponsible pieces of journalism I have seen lately. You failed to identify the guy in the gold jacket and his relationship to the knowledge of the story isn't made clear. Further, the hobbles shown at :21 and :28 of the story are not the hobbles that are used in racing. I won't say that Miss Keyton outright lied, but her report is absolutely misleading in the aspect of the equipment on the horse at the time of the incident

One would think that a journalist would at least show a correct picture of a harness racing hopple (hobble) instead the hobbles they showed which are used for a very different purpose

They show breeding hopples, race hopples are neat the top of the legs and far looser. 55 -60 Inches in length. Terrible information given to to lack of research!

That's not the hopples they're talking about they're called racing hopples but yes pacers do where hopples

It is unbelievable that in this day and age of information that People do not know about HARNESS HORSES A.K.A STANDARDBREDS !! The sad part of this story is the LACK OF CORRECT INFORMATION about the Hobbles !! If your going to report such an unfortunate incident...GET YOUR FACTS CORRECT about the Equipment used on Harness Horses. Try reporting the MANY Great things the Harness Racing Industry has to offer.
