Alright, the explanation of the early 2000’s sounds:
Early K-Pop had 3 influences: Korean trot, hip-hop, and 90’s/2000’s pop. In fact, many early K-Pop songs were written by the same people who wrote hits for Britney, *Nsync, Janet, etc. therefore, that sound carried through the beginning of 2nd gen and didn’t really die off until the soundscape started shifting to R&B in like 2007/2008.

oooooooooooh! That makes a whole like more sense that I'm hearing a lot of 90s/2000s pop sounds in these Throwbacks!

Mister, the most iconic b-side in all of kpop.
Wanna was the title track for that specific comeback, and Mister was the b-side they promoted along with it. Mister was more favored by the public to the point that they promoted that instead. It became one of their biggest songs, and one of the most iconic kpop songs in the history. That's why even some kpop veterans thought Mister was a title track.
That's also why you won't find an MV for Mister except for the japanese version haha

Man, the original 4 members of KARA eats CD for breakfast. Especially Sunghee, girl can sing. Oh for some reason Mr. is KARA's most famous song and it's a B-Side so that tells something

Funnily enough, Mr started off as their b-side, but then became their title track 😅

"Is the 'g' in Gyuri silent?". No.
It's also funny that they have Ji-young and later have Young-ji 😅

@@roguereacts There is also a little bit more to that, Ji-Young was the makane when she was in the group, nicknamed Giant Baby, since she was taller, and people mistook Seungyeon as the makanae, which led to the nickname Fake Makane. Young-Ji was also the makanae in the group when she was in it. Ji-Young and Young-Ji are technically the same age, with Ji-young being a little older, but she didn't want to give up the title of makanae, so they are co-makanes of the group. They also got close during the last comeback (they had never been in the group at the same time), and they are now nicknamed Ji-Young-Ji together.

oh there ended up not being any later bsides. if anyone wants some now really late recs, the ones in the mamma mia album are quite good. :p
the g in gyuri is very much there. its 규. gyu~
anyway. i believe sunghee got pulled by her family(?) right after break it wasn't a hit.
also, very much mid-late 2000s. its 2007~~ pop r&b mustve still been the most popular type of music worldwide until the technos and whatevers came along in like 2009 to 11? i was a child tho so idk. it IS what ive always liked, maybe thats why 2nd gen usually hits for me
i think doing the runs is usually queen of my heart han seungyeon? gyuri and nicole get them too but by the time you asked i think it mostly sounds like seungyeon
