Bayern Munich have placed Erik ten Hag on a new list of possible successors to Thomas Tuchel, but his focus is steadfastly on Manchester United.
Sky Sports News understands that the Bundesliga giants have touched base with Ten Hag’s agent Kees Vos to enquire if the Dutchman would be open to taking over at the Allianz Arena.

It makes perfect sense, ETH was a coach at Bayern, he knows everyone there and knows the identity of the club and structure. At the moment United are still shambolic and need a lot of new players.
Would be an interesting move. If he was successful at Bayern then it would show up United’s structure to be at fault over many years. Fans often go after the manager but there’s much more to it than that.

I was one of them that really wanted Ten Hag, and it's so heartbreaking that has not worked out. But if going to Bayern would make him thrive, then i am in agreement with it, because all in all, this entire club needs a reformation. It needs a reinvention. The operation of this club hasn't made it any easier for whichever manager that has managed this club after Sir Alex. They are more likely to fail than to succeed based on the whole setting of the club. The club is in ruins, yet there are delusional fans that still think we are the same Manchester United like before, living off past glory. The present is what counts, is what is relevant. I hope Sir Jim will be ruthless and abolish the old system because we need a new identity. And in order to experience a proper rebuild, we have to jist begin from scratch, which means that a lot of people need to go, else this club will have no future as it already is. We are in 8th place for goodness' sake, and if we don't mind, we might finish the season even lower than that. I just hope Sir Jim can bring some fresh ideas and if anyone opposes it, get rid of them. It's going to take ruthlessness to finally have a reformation at the club, even demolish the stadium and build a new one. It's time for us to leave the past behind of us and move forward.
