why do thick people relentlessly quote Rangnick's heart surgery comment like it was some revelatory statement? We all knew United were a mess years before he started coming out with cringey lines to deflect from his frankly awful term in charge at United. Stop hailing Rangnick as a hero that came in and uncovered issues at the club. We all knew the club was a mess. Rangnick was an absolute disaster, he was clueless, playing Phil Jones on the half way line at Anfield against Salah. He was out of his depth, just like 7hag is.

Is it hard to ask for a manager who can coach these players and for us fans to see a style of play that is sustainable? I don’t think so.
If the players can’t apply a style of play then can we just bring youth in and swallow a season so that we see something we can be happy about?

    • @sinclairwhitbourne2090

Most injuries in defensive and midfield positions? The issue has actually been less the shots on goal (by the way, you don't go up or down the table based on that stat, it is shots that go in and as shots on target alone shows, there's been a big difference between shots against and shots on target) and the lack of goals in attack.
And there is your problem - you cite Derby with 11 points but United have 5 times that. Your stat is meaningless. Why not cite number of progressive passes or any other stat in isolation?

Envision Eric Ten Hag guiding Real Madrid or Barcelona; it's unlikely he'd struggle. So, why the challenges this season? It hints at deeper issues within Manchester United. Is it confidence, pitch conditions, training facilities, fitness routines, player quality, or even the absence of oversized stadium screens or leaking roof? Alternatively maybe, player misconduct like gambling or external factors such as financial interests undermining the team could be factors. Or perhaps opposing teams are investing heavily to sabotage ManUtd, internally or externally. Pinpointing the exact cause is challenging, but it's clear Ten Hag isn't the core issue.
