    Tyson Fury shoved Oleksandr Usyk back in their final confrontation ahead of Saturday's undisputed world heavyweight championship clash, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
    On Friday night in Riyadh, at 262lbs (18st 10lbs) Fury was significantly lighter for this contest than his last fight, while Usyk was a substantial career heaviest at 233½lbs (16st 9lbs), about 12lbs more than he'd ever scaled before.
    At the final press conference on Thursday Fury had declined to make eye contact with Usyk, denying him a staredown.
    This time he backed down from nothing, rounding on Usyk and shoving him. They could not face off for much longer as the two fighters and their entourages had to be separated.

    Stepped up from Cruiserweight is the sentence that matters here. No doubt about boxing ability, but 2 stone extra weighing down on you and wrapping you up could easily pay. Its what did for wilder IMO. Fury will spend the first few rounds leaning all over him and start trying to knock him out after round 6/7

    • @TheGeneral_LUFC
      @TheGeneral_LUFC Před 20 dny

    • @joeexotic5831
      @joeexotic5831 Před 20 dny

      @@TheGeneral_LUFC He's still 2 stone heavier and about a foot taller. So this makes no sense at all. Remember the basis to my point. Wilder is no doubt the singular biggest puncher in the heavyweight division. Usyk can not punch like wilder. So how can usyk knock fury out. Tactically, fury has a massive advantage being taller and heavier. As long as Fury doesn't make it a technical boxing match in the early rounds, he should win. He will utilise the same tactics as he did to beat wilder, who weighs more than usyk. So if this tactic worked for wilder when there was less weight difference and wilder punches harder, the only way usyk can win is technically on points or cuts. As I just don't see a world how usyk can knock fury out. Knock him down, maybe, knock him out very unlikely. Look at the weight difference between fury and wilder and look at wilders recent interview. He says what I'm saying here. USYK is a world class cruiserweight, but he's never fought against a mountain like fury, whos a master at the dark arts. ITS only my opinion, but I reckon the first few rounds there is a lot of clinching and leaning by Fury. Usyk will drain quickly as he's overweight now. Fury has lost weight as he was overweight for his last fight, which was just an exhibition match where he made the fight last on purpose

    • @TheGeneral_LUFC
      @TheGeneral_LUFC Před 20 dny

      @joeexotic5831 you make a very valid point, but I just believe Usyk will be too Slick and is better skilled than fury. He will beat fury by decision.

    • @joeexotic5831
      @joeexotic5831 Před 20 dny +1

      @TheGeneral_LUFC I agree with you. I think Usyk can only win on points or cuts. He isn't big enough or doesn't punch hard enough to knock him out. Technically he's most probably slightly better than fury at actual boxing, as Fury is the better at fighting and Usyk at boxing, they are 2 different things. The issues with your argument is Fury will turn it into a scrap rather than about boxing skill. Also Fury's extra weight and height advantage could take its toll before it gets that far. If Usyk makes it last 12 rounds he will likely win. It's david v goliath in terms of weight and height. If you listen to most pros they all say the extra weight and height are massive. Being Technically the best doesn't help you unless its points based. So I think we agree on a lot, other than what the final outcome will be. But we can both see how the other could be right. It will be an interesting fight. Watch out for Fury using the same tactics that did for Wilder, clinching and leaning a lot in the opening few rounds. Fury doesn't want to keep Usyk at arms length at all in the first few rounds. He wants to wrap him up and drain him of energy like he did Wilder.

      I genuinely think Fury is worried, the last time we watched him was against Ngannou. He looks fitter now but we won't know until the fight starts, only then will we know if he's still got it. Personally I think Usyk's gonna win, all the same people on TV who said Joshua was gonna win before the first fight are saying Fury's gonna win. Unless they rob Usyk I just don't think Fury's gonna be able to find a way to win.

    • @joeexotic5831
      @joeexotic5831 Před 20 dny

      @johnmichaelson9173 That fight was an exhibition. He beat wilder by wrapping him up first few rounds and weighing him down, tiring him out. In that exhibition fight he stood off and allowed it to be a show. He was getting paid to make it last. Hence why he was overweight. It didn't matter one bit if he got beat. I even think it would have helped him phycologicaly if he had got beaten, as Usyk has been fooled into thinking he's not the force he was. All I know is the 2 stone and 1 foot height advantages should tell 99% of the time. Usyk is the better technical boxer for sure. But if wilder the hardest puncher in the world couldn't knock Fury out, how can a cruiserweight do it ?

    • @johnmichaelson9173
      @johnmichaelson9173 Před 20 dny

      @@joeexotic5831 Precision beats power & timing beats speed. An accumulation of punches will stop a man, the punch you don't see can stop a man. Usyk's movement & footwork are levels above Wilder. Usyk won't be caught in the clinch time & time again like Wilder was.

    • @joeexotic5831
      @joeexotic5831 Před 20 dny +1

      @johnmichaelson9173 All valid arguments. And agreed on the basis of them. However, I never said Wilder was a better boxer. Never said he was quicker or technically better than Usyk, far from it. But he is stronger than Usyk and has the hardest punch in the heavyweight division. He caught Fury with that a few times and couldn't keep him down. And I also never said Fury would be winning in close clinch battles. Again not my point. Usyk is NOT a heavyweight, Fury will try and wrap him up and lean on him at every chance. It's not about winning an inside battle. It's about the extra weight on you every time there's a clinch. Plus Usyk has a major disadvantage as he has to punch up, just to reach Fury's face. I appreciate your opinion and we will see who is right tomorrow. If Usyk wins, it will be the best boxing performance I've ever seen. As it's nothing to do with being a better boxer. He's fighting in the heavyweight division against a man a foot taller and 2 stone heavier. So he will automatically become a legend if he can pull it off. And for Fury to look Usyk in the eye he has to look downwards a foot

For those that think Fury can fight differently than the Ngannou fight must think again, that is his style he cannot change it, his arms are to long and slow if he miss with a punch Usyk would already replied with three punches.
