This was my first actual "why do I hear boss music?" moment. Didn't die, couldn't feel more proud of myself.
Me when the "Sand" Approaches: Meh
Me when something Huge came out: O.o
Didnt expect something so big to be honest. But lived to fight another day.
@@mistymap7339MOLDUKING!!!👽😭
mines was more like oh i like the mus-WHATS UNDER THE SAND FUCK THIS
I was just trying to find Molduga so I didn’t really have a reaction I guess like oh finally there he is I beat Zelda breath of the wild 3 times so and watched my dad beat the whole game 1 time and do a lot of stuff so nostalgic and years later after he played it I came back to beat it all 1 time then like 1-2 years later do it again like 1 year later I beat it again. Lol I love Zelda breath of the wild sad my Nintendo switch broke so I can’t play the new Zelda tears of the kingdom and I can only play in little hand held mode or what it’s called and the controller disconnects easy feels like Nintendo console things break so easy the new version all my friends had trouble with the console and controllers
I didnt really have this sort of reaction, but my sister did. Her initial reaction to Molduga was "Why did the music get so violent all of a su- *Molduga Jumpscare* AHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING! AHHHHHHHHHH! GET ME OUTTA HERE! IM FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW!!! AHHHHHH!!! *death*" Then she never picked up the game again for another year. Thats not a joke btw that literally happened! XD

When a monster’s theme is more epic than a boss fight theme
Moldugas are technically bosses…
The molduga is a boss
@@Enanuuu No, they're enemies. Bosses are the ones that are obligatory to complete the main missions.
I think moldugas are mini-bosses, not needed to complete the main missions but required to finish the game at 100%, as taluses, hinoxs and (maybe) lynels could be too.
Muldugas, hinoxes, stalnoxes, and taluses are all mini bosses and lynels are just very strong enemies. Basically if it has a big health bar and or if it’s name flashes before you fight it chances are that it’s a boss of some sort
1:38 gave me goosebumps the first time I heard this

That shift from you wailing on it to the beast rolling itself back into position was translated so well with the music.

@@agl4058 I think it’s supposed to be a boss phase shift and what the molduga does is thrash about on the surface biting everything
@@agl4058 you have to not hit the molduga with the bombs and not make it vulnerable
This track was written by Hajime Wakai, who also wrote the Molgera theme from Wind Waker. However, the Moldarach theme from Skyward Sword was written by Mahito Yokota, despite Wakai also composing for that game.
He likes mols
I was wondering if he was the same composer, considering the monsters are so similar yet the music feels so different.
That Violin solo is harnessing some "through the fire and flames" energy... and we all can feel it.
4:02 I love this part because it gives the vibes like “come on hit me if you can!”

link drippin with the gold sand seal, urbosa gear, desert voe outfit, and a golden bow with bomb arrows
Nah this gives me the “You may not rest now. There are monsters nearby” vibes
It's just not the same without the "It's your chance to hit it!" fanfare. =(
Yeah, but I kinda dig the subtleness...
Fanfare would still be better tho
@@buddeman27 I plan to use this for D&D battle music so prefer it without the fanfare.
@@Washburnello This is exactly what I'm using it for too. It's pretty perfect without the fanfare for background battle music!
The fanfare is for when the party is winning.
@@Washburnello I am planning to use this for a cloud ray encounter (a flying desert manta ray from the dark sun campaign setting) and I personally would fo everything in my power to make sure that second vulnerable phase of the song is included
This, naboris’s theme, and the ridge land tower gliding theme, are all my fav tracks from this amazing game
Maz koshia takes the cake, runs with it at a million miles an hour, and eats it along the way with his theme. Easily the best in the game, too bad it’s locked behind dlc.
Everyone's talking about that violinist, but the percussion goes just as hard
Somewhere at a random place, first time being in the desert:

I was exploring the desert and this started playing. This thing scared the hell out of me in arbiter grounds. It killed me twice before I realized what it was. No longer a newbie. I prize my Molduga emblem and from Kilton 😂

I feel I was denied critical need-to-know information. -Me when facing for the first time the King Molduga
Recently I came back to botw, and decided to try defeating some bosses. I defeated one molduga that was right on a shrine, then got a sandseal to go try to kill another. it noticed me.. AND F****NG CHASED ME TOO THE ACTUAL BORDER.
Tbh man that's kinda awesome ngl
I didn't know that was even possible they usually give up after a while (at least for me)
every single person here has gone "What's a molduga...?" moments before being launched into the hyrulean stratosphere
Not me
THE hardest track on the whole game.
I think of this theme as less threatening and more like “we got a big ass fish to reel in” and you have your buddies with you riding into this
This is the prime example of when you hear the boss music but don't see the boss
Best boss music in Zelda! I'm obsessed with it !
You clearly haven’t heard maz koshia’s theme
Or colgera’s theme
Ah yes our favorite sand worm boi 's theme is quite a tremor
I see what you did there
now i can write a desert themed character PROPERLY.
This is definitely something I could hear in Spirit Tracks. Definitely the same composer
I live in the desert, and this is what i hear when I see a fire ant fall into an antlion trap
the dessert... more like the Wild East
This was my favorite! I don't even know why, but I loved fighting Molduga.

Yet another Epic score for a ridiculous looking boss, I love Nintendo!!!!
I love how it gives a similar vibe to the molgera theme from Wind Waker while also sounding unique
Excellent song to build up a sweat to
That violin carrying the whole thing
nawh i remember walking through the desert then all of a sudden the health bar appears in the screen and i’m like ‘ohhh no’ 😆
I like to listen to this when I make super Mario maker 2 levels it gets better levels out of me
I love this song!
you arrive at the Southern Oasis, and all of the sudden a big boss bar appears, And this dramatic music starts playing, But you look around and don't see anything big coming for you. Hopefully you climb up onto something and then see the lump under the sand, or else you're in for a really bad time.
Bro the first time I encountered this shit and saw the boss bar I knew I was fucked. Bro sent me to Jesus right off the bat
“What is that?” *sand bumps are getting closer* “WHAT IS THAT!!!!!”
When your riding on a sand seal and you hear the music and the heath bar: ahh sh#t here we go again
Try using koroks as living bait, worked for me
lol The part I was looking for is literally the intro of the "vulnerable" theme and I didn't even know it
First time I met with a Molduga was a huge "WTF IS THAT" moment
How is nobody talking about 5:58 its one of the best parts imo
Imagine if the boss/mini boss music is canon, like they have little instrument-like organs in their body making these sounds to lure in prey.
If so then they need to hire a talus, a molduga, and probably Patricia for a rave sometime (Patricia is so good at playing the invisible piece of paper she can crank out the attack on divine beast vah naboris theme in her sleep.)
Me: Having a nice day at the desert for the first time
Game: Enough!
bongos go so hard
Gives me Legend of Korra soundtrack vibes.
Imagine this can used for Pokémon battle
Imagine your on a trip going the desert and you hear this
Copied with lower detail to make it look original.
Hmmm my favourite theme
I was minding my own business and then this stupid fish came along and swooped me a thousand miles in the air
There are stones or ruins poking out of the sand at each of the 4/5 fight locations (Dragon's Exile, Arbiter's Grounds, Southern Oasis, and Torma Dunes, and a harder one just south of the East Barrens with the DLC), which will protect you from it. Throw down remote bombs and let it notice and try to eat them, then blow them up in its mouth. Any time you can hit its skin, hit it with bombs/bomb arrows to stagger it. Its belly is weak and it is especially vulnerable to shock arrows.
@@Slate_Box who asked lmao
4:21 DAYUM
The first time i saw the sand moving towards me with this music playing my first instinct was to place a bomb down and blow it up... i mean i still died cause i panicked once it started going nuts but like im still inpressed i immediately knew what to do
the jaw but zelda style!!
If you hear this song and see its healthbar on the top of your screen, GET OFF THE SAND AND ONTO HIGHER GROUND, AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!
Idea: Tremors but anytime the Graboids are on screen this plays
Thank you this is create for my run!! :)
I fight these things just for the music
They didn't need to give the sand worm one of the best themes
